The company builds distributed power generators that can run on a range of fuel sources, aiming for clean, flexible and affordable electricity.
This role runs full-cycle recruiting for engineering, technical, manufacturing and office/corporate hires, working with HR and with engineering, operations and manufacturing managers. You will help scale the KARNO technology by making the company a strong choice for engineers and technical professionals, and by tightening hiring results over time.
Responsibilities
Work with engineering, operations and manufacturing managers to learn their technical needs, team structure and changing goals, then turn them into hiring plans and job descriptions.
Own full-cycle recruiting across mechanical, electrical, systems and controls, software and firmware, test, manufacturing, quality and supply chain, running several priority searches at once.
Learn the company's technology, products and engineering disciplines well enough to speak credibly with technical candidates and judge their fit.
Find active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, Boolean and X-ray search, technical communities, professional associations, referrals and creative outreach.
Build and keep pipelines for critical and recurring technical and manufacturing roles, including niche and hard-to-fill skill sets.
Run phone screens, video interviews and in-person interviews to assess technical background, hands-on experience, culture add and role fit, including fit for fast-paced, startup or hardware development settings.
Set up structured interview processes with hiring teams, including technical interviews, panels and skills assessments, and align interviewers on how to evaluate candidates.
Serve as the main contact for candidates from first contact to hire, keeping communication clear, prompt and professional.
Work with HR on offers, pay benchmarking and hiring approvals, and help close candidates in a competitive market.
Keep accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) that meet OFCCP requirements.
Track and report metrics such as time to hire, time to fill, source of hire, offer acceptance rate and pipeline health, and suggest improvements.
Make sure recruiting follows employment law, internal policy, OFCCP rules and export control (ITAR/EAR) screening where it applies.
Represent the employer brand to technical audiences on LinkedIn, Glassdoor and job postings, professionally.
Build relationships with universities, engineering programs and societies, trade schools and outside recruiting partners, and run or join career fairs, campus recruiting and intern programs.
Adjust quickly as priorities shift and take on more work as the company grows.
Take on other duties as the business needs.

Use AI-enabled recruiting tools to speed up and improve sourcing, outreach, interview prep, scheduling and pipeline analysis. Check AI outputs yourself and make sure their use is fair, unbiased, transparent and lawful.
Strong sourcing skills in LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and X-ray search, and engaging passive talent.
