Description

The company runs a financial infrastructure platform that businesses of every size use to accept payments and grow revenue, with millions of companies as users.

The team works on the Connect product and on risk and compliance for it.

Responsibilities

  • Build deep expertise in Connect, with a focus on its risk and compliance areas.
  • Investigate technical questions from internal teams and external partners' engineers, making code changes when needed.
  • Lead complex technical work for product launches, merchant onboarding, and migrations.
  • Find manual processes that waste time and automate them, either through direct code changes or by coordinating larger changes across the company.
  • Create alerts with existing tools so incidents get a fast response or are avoided entirely.
  • Analyze data to measure how risk and compliance actions affect users, and identify future product opportunities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of experience in technical or technical user-facing roles.
  • 2 years of experience with developer tools, including git.
  • 2 years of experience with scripting and automation in Ruby and Python.
  • 2 years of experience writing tooling and automation, including tests and idempotent design.
  • 2 years of experience with observability tools: metrics such as Prometheus and Datadog, logging with LogScale, and distributed tracing with Honeycomb.
  • 2 years of experience with incident response, on-call rotations, runbooks, and postmortems.
  • 2 years of experience using SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL for operational work.

Conditions

The posted base salary range covers base pay only; any sales commissions or sales bonus targets, if applicable, are paid in addition.

The role is 40 hours per week.

100% telecommuting is permitted.

Multiple positions are open.

Benefits

  • Additional benefits may include equity, a company bonus or sales commissions and bonuses, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental and vision coverage, and wellness stipends.
