Description

The company builds defense systems on its own distributed network technology, with advanced sensing and detection for warfighters, commercial air operators and border protection teams.

Founded in 2022, the company has raised $1B from investors including 8VC, Accel and NEA. It has more than 350 employees across 5 offices: headquarters in Los Angeles, with offices in Washington, D.C., San Francisco and London.

This role keeps the company's systems working reliably in the field. You will integrate hardware and software, track down complex faults, and deliver quick fixes and upgrades.

You will work alongside customers and fit the systems into their existing infrastructure. The job suits hands-on people who are comfortable with Linux terminals, network traces, wiring, Python scripts and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Connect the company's software, sensors and RF devices to customer systems, both physically (networking, power and hardware bring-up) and through software (data pipelines and APIs).
  • Find and fix complex edge faults that span hardware, software and networking.
  • Write scripts, diagnostics and automation that make systems more reliable and easier to observe.
  • Gather feedback from operations and work with internal engineering teams on product improvements.
  • Write up system configurations, troubleshooting steps and lessons learned for internal teams and customers.
  • Travel to customer and test sites, typically up to 50% of the time, for deployments, troubleshooting and mission support.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering, computer science, physics or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of Linux, including SSH, networking tools and system-level debugging.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure in the field.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, hardware interfaces and distributed systems.
  • Experience integrating or maintaining hardware or sensor systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or Bash.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm for travel and hands-on technical work on site.
  • Preferred: experience in systems integration, field engineering or technical operations for complex deployments.
  • Preferred: background in defense, aerospace or other mission-critical environments.
  • Preferred: familiarity with telemetry, data integration or IoT-style architectures.
  • Preferred: knowledge of RF systems, SDRs or radar, which is strongly valued though not required.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud and edge computing environments such as Docker, Azure or AWS.
  • Preferred: strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to bridge technical and operational views clearly and calmly.

Conditions

Onsite role.

Travel of up to 50% to customer and test sites.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision coverage, with 100% of premiums paid by the company.
  • 5% pension match, life insurance, Cycle to Work Scheme and additional benefits.
  • Free daily lunch, no meetings on Fridays, unlimited PTO and a casual dress code.
  • Competitive base salary, generous pre-IPO stock option grants and relocation assistance.
  • Annual bonuses are coming soon.
