Job Overview

We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive high-stakes facility expansion, supplier expansion and readiness programs. You will manage project execution for manufacturing scale-up, orchestrating cross-functional dependencies across infrastructure, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure our environments are fully prepared for high-volume production.

Responsibilities

  • Factory & Manufacturing Readiness: Orchestrate the end-to-end program lifecycle for existing and new manufacturing facilities (including Capex, infrastructure, and permitting), with or without Contract Manufacturers (CMs). Facilitate cross-functional alignment to ensure all systems, processes, and sites are production-ready for scale
  • Supplier Readiness & Alignment: Lead the program-level synchronization of supplier capacity and inventory positioning. Coordinate with strategic sourcing, materials management and engineering partners to resolve alignment issues, managing the planning and replenishment model implementation for long-lead-time parts and quality control integration without directly performing procurement negotiations
  • Systems, Process, & Operational Excellence: Define and optimize the operational frameworks and tools that allow cross-functional teams to work efficiently. Standardize execution methods and processes to prevent bottlenecks in complex multi-disciplinary programs
  • Program Ownership & Risk Management: Own the program decision-making process. Proactively identify risks across factory, supplier, and operational workstreams, leading cross-functional teams in developing and executing mitigation strategies
  • Executive & Stakeholder Communication: Synthesize complex data from multiple workstreams into clear, actionable updates for leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on program health and critical path items
  • Organizational Readiness & Expansion: Program-manage organizational growth initiatives, including resource planning, hiring pipelines, and training programs, to ensure teams are fully scaled and equipped to support operational objectives

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, industrialization, or large-scale supply chain program management
  • Expertise in factory startup, facility permitting, and capital expenditure oversight
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, inventory management, and contract negotiation for complex hardware programs
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with experience in production modeling, capacity planning, and quality control systems
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage complex, multi-disciplinary programs in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Does your experience not meet all of our posted requirements? Studies have shown that some people are less likely to apply to positions unless they meet every listed requirement. At Mainspring, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, flexible, and collaborative environment, so if you want to help us transition the world to clean and affordable electricity, and don’t meet all posted requirements for a particular role, we’d still love to hear from you. Mainspring can sometimes be flexible enough to shift responsibilities for the right person, or otherwise identify open or upcoming roles that may better fit your professional background.
  • This compensation and benefits information is based on Mainspring Energy's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
