Staff Data Scientist

Description

You will join teams that tackle statistical, machine learning and data understanding problems in a commercial technology and consultancy setting, helping build and ship modern machine learning, operational research, semantic analysis and statistical methods that find structure in large datasets.

The company is moving forward through a set of strategic bets in commercial excellence, logistics optimization, inventory management and manufacturing innovation. The Enterprise AI team, within the Chief Data and Analytics Office, builds enterprise-grade AI and ML solutions meant to have measurable impact at scale.

You will help set and carry out the AI strategy. The role sits in a cross-functional delivery group and involves working with data engineering, ML engineering, analytics, GenAI development and Corporate Finance to solve complex business problems with scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy AI and ML models for problems in commercial operations, supply chain, manufacturing and related areas.
• Lead or contribute to data science projects from first idea through delivery, making sure solutions are sound, scalable and aligned with organizational priorities.
• Work closely with data engineering, ML engineering, analytics, GenAI and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Apply sound practice to data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, validation and deployment. Take part in code reviews and help write technical documentation.
• Keep up with progress in ML, GenAI and analytics, and look for ways to improve existing models and processes without being asked.
• Turn complex data science work into clear, practical insights that help business partners make decisions and reach measurable results.
• Share what you know with peers, help the team learn, and look for chances to grow professionally.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
• Direct AI/ML experience, including a track record of building and deploying enterprise-grade solutions at scale.
• A proven record applying advanced analytics and machine learning to real problems in areas such as forecasting, pricing, customer analytics, sales planning, computer vision and operational optimization.
• Proficiency in ML algorithms, GenAI frameworks and data engineering, with experience in Python, AWS, Azure and open-source tools such as R, SQL, Spark, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch and Scikit-learn.
• Demonstrated ability to deploy, monitor and maintain ML and GenAI models in production.
• Understanding of analytics practice in commercial operations, logistics, inventory management, manufacturing and finance.
• Strong skill at explaining complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders and senior executives.
• Proven success working in cross-functional, hybrid and virtual teams.
• Commitment to ethical data science practice.
• Willingness to travel for business meetings as needed.

Conditions

Hybrid working model.

For roles based in Poland, the annual salary range is 287,200.00 PLN to 394,900.00 PLN.

Where you land in the range depends on your skills and qualifications, your prior job-related experience, and internal equity with colleagues in similar roles.

Pay ranges are reviewed regularly to keep them competitive with the external market and consistent internally.
