Sr. Program Manager, Accessibility

This senior role sits in the Design team and reports to the VP of UX. The program covers design, education and enablement, and the auditing and testing work. The goal is to make the company a place where people of all abilities feel welcome. You will work with product, design, engineering and legal to solve accessibility problems at scale and set strategy.

You can work from the headquarters in San Francisco, CA, or from a hub in Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Irvine, CA, or New York City, NY. Working hours follow West Coast (PST) time.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject-matter expert on digital accessibility across the company, advising product and partner teams and integrating processes and tools, including AI where it fits.
• Own intake, the backlog and day-to-day operations. Work with engineering, product and design leads to prioritize core accessibility issues and keep them informed through regular updates and reports.
• Lead QA work and manage QA specialists and third-party vendors. Work with engineers to add automated accessibility tests to CI/CD pipelines so testing starts earlier in development.
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and researchers to find and deliver high-impact changes and programs across all products.
• Collaborate with legal, research, policy and communications on benchmarking, goal setting, reporting and execution.
• Build an education program and roll out guidelines and resources for key collaborators.

Requirements

• You have 6+ years of experience building accessibility programs, QA practices and other scalable accessibility practices.
• You know accessibility best practices, guidelines and regulations, especially WCAG 2.2+ AA and the CVAA, and can advise executives on risk.
• You have created and led an accessibility program from the ground up, including documenting it and driving its deliverables proactively.
• You have worked with product, design, engineering and legal teams to deliver accessibility audits, code reviews and other advisory services.
• You have worked on consumer product accessibility for video and communication products across devices such as desktop, smartphone, gaming console and OTT services.
• You understand the assistive technologies people with disabilities use.
• You have used Figma, Jira and similar product development tools.
• Bonus: understanding of AI tooling and test automation for accessibility.
• Bonus: familiarity with the company as a user, streamer, or both.

Conditions

Base salary ranges are $142,400 to $192,600 USD in San Francisco and New York, and $129,500 to $175,100 USD in Seattle, Los Angeles and Irvine, paid annually.

Final pay depends on experience, qualifications and location.
