The role supports Ground Element testing in the factory (DT&E1) and at the site (DT&E2). You will run dry runs and run-for-record (RFR) tests, write test procedures, and present at Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Test Review Boards (TRBs).

You will also contribute to Requests for Change (RFCs) and CDRL documents within the Ground Element scope, such as Network Interface Planning Documents, System Test Plans, Facilities Requirements Documents and Site Integration Requirements.

The company may offer relocation assistance.

Clearances and program access must be obtained within a period the company sets. Staying employed requires keeping the clearance and program access the role needs.

Responsibilities

  • Write and update system-level integration and test procedures for the Ground Element, for both factory (DT&E1) and site (DT&E2) work.
  • Plan and run dry runs and RFR test executions, arranging test resources, setups and data capture.
  • Build and present material for TRRs and TRBs covering objectives, configurations, results and open discrepancies.

  • Write and maintain Ground Element documents, including network interface plans, system test plans, site integration requirements and facilities requirements.
  • Help integrate hardware, software and networks in the ground system, including setup, checkout and troubleshooting of complex interfaces.
  • Work with software, network and systems engineers so the system is testable, ready to integrate and verifiable against its requirements.
  • Take part in site installation, integration and verification, including longer trips to operational locations when needed.
  • Follow test processes, configuration management and quality standards, and improve test efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field with 6+ years, or a PhD in a STEM field with 4+ years.
  • Either an active SCI at the time of application, or an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (or equivalent) at the time of application, plus the ability and willingness to obtain and keep an active SCI before the start date. Continued employment depends on keeping the clearance and program access the role requires.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, often for stretches of up to 2 months.
  • At least 3 years in test procedure development, test planning, and/or integration and test.
  • Clear written and spoken communication, including writing requirements and test and evaluation criteria.
  • Preferred: active SCI clearance at the time of application.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of Linux.
  • Preferred: experience working in a command line environment.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
  • Preferred: experience in software integration.
