Sr Lead Software Engineer, AI Security Platform

Description

The team is hiring a senior lead engineer to help build and grow an AI-powered code security scanner. The platform uses frontier AI models and security automation to find, confirm and report software vulnerabilities across enterprise codebases.

The work covers continued development, architecture changes and long-term improvement of the platform. You would need to be comfortable building user-facing applications, writing automation, connecting AI services and securing cloud-native systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a lead technical developer for the AI code scanner platform.
• Drive modernization, enhancements and scalability work.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Improve the user experience, reporting dashboards, workflow management and admin tools.
• Build secure authentication and authorization patterns.
• Maintain and extend the orchestration and scanning services.
• Expand and manage integrations with LLM-based security analysis.
• Improve automated vulnerability analysis, reporting and verification workflows.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 5 years in a lead, principal or senior engineering role.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in regulated environments.
• Expert-level React development and modern single-page application architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs and authentication integrations.
• Expert-level Python development.
• Experience with API design and integration.
• Experience with automation and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with test automation and quality engineering.
• Experience integrating large language models.
• Experience with agent-based workflows and automation frameworks.
• Experience with application security and vulnerability management.

Conditions

Base pay range is $114,500 to $194,700 USD. This is a good faith estimate of base pay.
