About ROLLER

ROLLER is not your average software-as-a-service company. With a global presence in over 30 countries, we're here to bring some excitement to the leisure and attractions industry and make a difference! Our mission is to help businesses operate smoothly and create fun and memorable guest experiences by providing seamless ticketing, point-of-sale, self-serve kiosks, memberships and digital waiver processes.

But here's the best part: our team. We're a group of 300+ highly passionate, enthusiastic, and down-to-earth professionals located all around the world who are all working together to build something truly remarkable. We're aiming high and believe that the possibilities are endless. As we continue to grow globally, we're excited to write our success story and have fun along the way.

We genuinely love what we do, and we're looking for like-minded people to join us on this amazing journey. If you're ready to be part of a dynamic team and make a real impact, come aboard, and let's create some unforgettable experiences together at ROLLER!

About the Role

The Solution Engineer owns the end-to-end pre-sales process at ROLLER, commercial and technical. You partner with Account Executives to qualify, progress, and earn new business, while simultaneously running the technical validation that gives prospects the confidence to buy.

What sets a ROLLER SE apart is the combination. You carry the commercial rigour of a quota-carrying rep; MEDDICC discipline, value-based discovery, and business case ownership alongside the technical credibility to design and deliver compelling solutions. On the most complex deals, you'll have access to a Solution Architect as a force multiplier, which frees you to stay focused on the commercial motion where you create the most value.

In this role you will support ROLLER's growth across the French market, engaging prospects and customers in French while collaborating with our wider EMEA and global teams in English.

Responsibilities

  • Champion MEDDICC qualification across your pipeline: identifying Economic Buyers, mapping Decision Criteria and Process, surfacing Implicated Pain, and maintaining a clear, honest view of deal health at all times
  • Lead technical & value based discovery with prospects, diagnosing operational and revenue pain points and connecting them explicitly to the value ROLLER delivers
  • Own the technical pre-sales process: running tailored product demonstrations, managing technical validation, and handling integration and configuration questions across the standard deal motion
  • In support with the AE, and our Business Value Consultant, present ROI-led business cases framed in the language of the Economic Buyer; revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency, not feature lists
  • Own competitive positioning in live deals, handling objections and neutralising competitor narratives with confidence and evidence
  • Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy, account planning, and executive engagement — presenting alongside them to C-suite stakeholders when the deal calls for it
  • Engage Solution Architects on your most complex, high-value opportunities. You'll brief them in, stay close to the commercial thread, and ensure technical depth doesn't slow the deal down
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs, owning the commercial and functional positioning while leveraging SA support on technically deep sections
  • Collaborate with Customer Success on expansion and upsell motions with existing customers, applying the same qualification and value-selling approach to growth as to new logo.
  • Maintain clean pipeline and activity data in Salesforce, contributing to forecast accuracy and deal visibility
  • Feed commercial insights; win patterns, loss reasons, and competitive intelligence back to Sales leadership to sharpen the overall motion

Requirements

  • Must be a C1 fluent French speaker.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate confidently with internal teams and stakeholders across EMEA and globally.
  • Travel may be required up to 30%.
  • 3+ years in a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or commercial pre-sales role within a SaaS company
  • Deep, practised familiarity with MEDDICC or an equivalent qualification methodology. You use it as a daily operating lens, not an occasional reference
  • Genuine commercial instinct: you think in business outcomes and ROI, and you can articulate ROLLER's value in terms that resonate with a CFO or Head of Operations
  • Technical confidence to run demos, handle product and integration questions, and manage a standard technical evaluation.
  • Proven ability to build and present business cases to economic buyers, including at the executive level.
  • Strong discovery skills. You ask the questions that open up a deal, surface real pain, and expose the risks that could kill it later
  • Competitive and driven. You want to win, and you know how to build a case that does
  • Strong executive presence and communication: credible in a boardroom, compelling on a screen
  • Experience with Salesforce as your CRM of record
  • Familiarity with value or solution selling frameworks (Command of the Message, Challenger, SCIPAB) is a strong advantage
  • Experience in leisure, attractions, hospitality, or entertainment is a plus, but commercial instinct and methodology matter most
  • Experience with API concepts and standard integration patterns, enough to have an informed conversation without an SA in the room
  • Exposure to ROLLER's product categories: ticketing, POS, memberships, waivers, self-serve kiosks, payments
  • Experience working with API integrations and API development tools such as Postman and Swagger
  • Experience in pre-sale (Solution Architecture, Solution Engineering, Sales) is a plus
  • Experience in the leisure and attractions industry is a plus.
  • You’re tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems.
  • Your time and resource management skills, combined with a sharp attention to detail, set you up for success.
  • You’re genuine, grounded, and value authentic interactions.
  • You’re self-motivated and thrive in an autonomous work environment.
  • You know how to take ownership, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively prioritize day-to-day tasks.
  • You’re comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments and adapt quickly to change.
  • You bring a process-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • You get to work on a category-leading product that customers love in a fun, high-growth industry- check our Capterra and G2 reviews.
  • Team member Assistance Program to proactively support our team's health and wellbeing - access to coaching, education modules, weekly webinars, and more.
  • Highly flexible work environment with an All Access pass to WeWork depending on your location
  • Work with a driven, fun, and switched-on team that likes to raise the bar in all we do.
