Software Program Manager

Description

You will own delivery, stabilization, enhancement and lifecycle management of critical warehouse software for key customers.

The job links software engineering, project delivery, customer operations and service teams, turning technical work into dependable results.

The work blends senior technical leadership, program ownership, customer governance, cross-team coordination, and accountability for roadmaps, releases, enhancements and production stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Take customer programs from planning through go-live, stabilization, enhancement and ongoing lifecycle support.
• Build and keep up integrated delivery roadmaps, milestone plans, release calendars, dependency maps, stabilization plans and decision logs.
• Coordinate development, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, production support and defect fixes across several technical teams.
• Chair recurring steering committees, program reviews, technical planning sessions and status meetings with customers.
• Report delivery status, risks, issues, release readiness, decisions and corrective actions clearly, accurately and promptly.
• Set and manage customer expectations, and help rank defects, enhancements, performance work and modernization initiatives.
• Run release readiness reviews, implementation plans, change windows, validation plans, rollback planning and post-release support.
• Push production defects and performance problems to resolution by bringing in the right development, engineering, infrastructure, project and service people.
• Handle enhancement intake and scoping: develop scope, ROM estimates, Statements of Work, resourcing and implementation plans.
• Work with Customer Service, Managed Services and Remote Support on readiness, escalation paths, knowledge transfer and supportability.
• Take part in discussions on access control, identity management, user roles, security, application governance and compliance for delivered solutions.
• Spot repeat delivery and service problems and lead structured fixes that improve quality, predictability, supportability and customer results.
• Keep program records current, including customer updates, RAID logs, release plans, enhancement roadmaps, stabilization plans, readiness reviews and defect remediation plans.

Requirements

• Manage several software workstreams, releases, enhancements and stabilization efforts at once for major customer environments.
• Work as a senior individual contributor with wide influence over technical, commercial, project, service and customer groups.
• Support customer governance, roadmap planning, risk management, release decisions and prioritization of software improvements.
• Guide the handover from project delivery into stable operations and continuous improvement.

Conditions

Estimated base pay at posting is $65,000 to $140,000, and final pay depends on work location, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
