Software Engineer III

Description

This role is on a software engineering team that builds web services for the company's customers and its internal users.

You would be hired as a Software Engineer III and work on medium to large projects from requirements through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build sturdy REST API services that improve the experience for the company's customers and internal users.
• Turn project requirements into technical solutions, gathering inputs such as design documents and product requirements.
• Write and build code, then test it with unit and integration tests.
• Work with your project team and other cross-functional teams.
• Investigate business and production issues by collecting the problem, its impact, and how urgent it is, then find the root cause to prevent repeats.
• Bring in support teams when needed and drive an action plan that keeps the software on schedule.
• Work with the project manager and give your input on the project.

Requirements

• Hold a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field.
• No specific number of years is required, but you must have the skills listed here. Any amount of professional experience with them is accepted.
• Experience coding in Java and TypeScript, using object-oriented programming.
• Experience designing and building REST web services in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Azure managed services.
• Experience building user interfaces with React and JavaScript.
• Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methods and best practices.
• Experience building software with microservice architecture and design.
• Experience with load and performance testing, and performance tuning.
• Experience building distributed messaging systems with Kafka.
• Experience designing SQL databases and data models.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries to pull, change, and analyze data.

Conditions

The role is based at 10900 NE 4th Street, Bellevue, WA 98004.

Base salary ranges from $143,104 to $216,000 per year.
