The company is hiring a Team Lead, Software Engineering to give hands-on technical direction to a group of 3 to 5 engineers.
The role covers the full software lifecycle, from requirements and design through build, testing, release, production support and ongoing upkeep of applications.
You will also move the team toward AI-assisted engineering and use approved AI tools responsibly.
Candidates of interest will be contacted to arrange an interview, and outcomes are shared by email or phone.
Responsibilities
Give hands-on senior advice across the lifecycle on complex problems involving applications, integrations, APIs, data, infrastructure and production.
Work with architecture, security, infrastructure, platform, DevOps, quality, product, business and operations colleagues to deliver and roll out solutions.
Design solutions for new features, upgrades, modernization, integrations and fixes that are practical, scalable, secure, resilient and easy to support.
Write designs in the required templates covering build, testing, rollout, readiness and support, and keep architecture, API, integration, data flow, infrastructure and business logic documentation current.
Run technical design reviews and make sure actions, risks, assumptions, dependencies and decisions are recorded and handled.
Lead responses to high-priority incidents, guiding investigation, debugging, root cause analysis and lasting fixes.
Feed incident lessons into engineering, testing, monitoring and design, and push better logging, observability, resilience and readiness.
Lead application releases and production rollouts, making sure the System Implementation Plan (SIP) and Master Execution Steps (MES) are accurate, complete, reviewed, approved and current.
Check rollout steps, dependencies, sequencing, verification, rollback plans and readiness before each release.
Lead technical work during rollout and post-implementation checks until deployment issues are resolved.
Review pull requests for quality, maintainability, security, performance, test coverage and standards.
Make sure team work and applications meet industry and internal rules for development, architecture, security, data, operational risk and engineering.
Promote disciplined coding, testing, documentation, deployment and support using reusable, resilient, scalable, observable, secure, maintainable and testable patterns.
Improve source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality tools and vulnerability scanning over time.
Track application health and keep frameworks, libraries, platforms and dependencies current and supported; identify technical debt and plan practical fixes.
Find, rank, track and fix security flaws and outdated technology, and close Archer findings and technology risks on committed timelines.
Make sure backup, recovery and disaster recovery testing is completed, evidence is kept, and findings are tracked to closure.
Escalate material application, security, operational, resiliency and technology risks, and keep technical evidence for governance, risk, control and audit.
Check that AI-generated code and technical artifacts meet security, architecture, privacy, quality and development standards.
Look for AI uses that cut repetitive work, speed modernization, strengthen testing and make engineering more consistent.
Lead day-to-day delivery for a team of 3 to 5 engineers.
Mentor engineers to build technical skill, engineering discipline, problem solving and team effectiveness.
Act as the technical escalation point and encourage knowledge sharing, cross-training, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Lead adoption of approved AI tools across analysis, design, development, review, testing, documentation, troubleshooting and modernization.
Use approved tools such as GitHub Copilot to raise productivity, quality, documentation and developer experience.
Coach engineers on AI-assisted development while keeping sound judgment, human oversight and accountability.
