Skywise - Security Operations Specialist

The company is a digital services business wholly owned by the company. It offers integrated digital solutions across planning and operations control, flight, technical and ground operations, combining aircraft manufacturer expertise with digital know-how.

The Security Operations Specialist sits in the Security team and handles day-to-day protection and monitoring of security systems. The role keeps the business compliant with the company's security policy and certifications (ISO27001 and EASA Part IS). You will manage security issues under that policy, propose updates to security structures and policies as the industry changes, support security initiatives across the organization, and make sure procedures are documented. You will work with the internal IT and M&T teams to keep the whole organization secure.

Responsibilities

• Watch internal network traffic, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN gateways and local servers for suspicious activity and unauthorized access.
• Review alerts, internal flow logs, domain controller activity and EDR/XDR telemetry.
• Build, tune and maintain SIEM correlation rules, detection logic and alerts to cut false positives and catch internal threats.
• Be the first responder for internal incidents such as malware outbreaks, rogue device connections, compromised internal accounts and phishing containment.
• Work with the company Security Operations Center during security events, and collect evidence and track events through to closure.
• Run regular internal vulnerability scans across internal networks and assets, and manage the scanning tools to meet security requirements and suggest improvements.
• Assess findings and work with the IT and M&T teams to rank and test patches for critical internal vulnerabilities.
• Monitor Active Directory for abnormal privilege escalation, reactivated dormant accounts and other suspicious behaviour.
• Check that non-compliant or unknown hardware cannot join corporate LANs or Wi-Fi.

Requirements

• Three to five years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center, in security-focused system administration, or in internal network defense.
• Strong networking skills, plus knowledge of Windows and Linux internals and Active Directory architecture.
• Skill in configuring and deploying enterprise EDR/XDR solutions.
• Ability to analyze logs from firewalls, systems and network access control.
• Experience with Active Directory threat vectors.
• Working knowledge of security scanning tools, EDR/XDR, SIEM and firewalls.
• Ability to break down complex problems, work well in a team, and stay organized while managing projects.
• Ability to work in an international setting across several jurisdictions, where the same issue can have different security impacts.

Conditions

Permanent contract, based in the Blagnac office with a hybrid model of 3 days per week on site.
