The successful candidate will enable engineering teams to focus on delivery while providing operational excellence, programme discipline, and leadership across a growing cloud platform organisation.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical program management experience with a solid understanding of Azure and cloud technologies and has a proven ability to lead complex initiatives across Engineering, Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams.
Role:
Own end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional technical programs across cloud, infrastructure, platform, security, and engineering domains.
Translate business objectives, technology strategy, and operational priorities into executable roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to align priorities, scope, timelines, and delivery commitments.
Drive roadmap planning, prioritization, and capacity management activities in partnership with Engineering leadership.
Balance infrastructure, platform, technical strategy, and product-driven initiatives to maximize delivery outcomes.
Manage program milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resource constraints, and delivery trade-offs.
Own Jira governance, including backlog management, workflow administration, reporting, dashboards, roadmap tracking, release planning, and delivery metrics.
Build executive reporting that provides clear visibility into programme health, risks, dependencies, and key outcomes.
Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions, technical reviews, governance forums, and release readiness activities.
Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Operations, and Product teams to ensure alignment across dependent initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement in programme management practices, delivery processes, and governance frameworks.
Serve as the primary point of contact for major programs and strategic initiatives within the organization.
All About You:
Experience leading complex technical programs within software engineering, cloud, platform, infrastructure, or technology organizations.
Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, cloud-native architectures, and modern infrastructure platforms.
Ability to understand technical designs, architecture diagrams, APIs, infrastructure components, and platform services.
Experience driving roadmap execution, capacity planning, programme governance, and stakeholder management in enterprise environments.
Experience managing complex dependencies, risks, issues, priorities, and stakeholder expectations across multiple teams.
Deep expertise with Jira, including programme governance, workflow administration, dashboards, reporting, dependency tracking, and release management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across highly matrixed organizations.
Strong organizational, prioritization, planning, and execution skills.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining focus on business outcomes.
Preferred experience:
Experience supporting Azure-based cloud platforms, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.
Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and cloud operations practices.
Experience managing security, compliance, resiliency, or operational readiness initiatives.
Experience with Aha!, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar portfolio management platforms.
