Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise AI

The Enterprise AI team builds intelligent systems and capabilities that support the company's business and internal teams. It has about 14 people.

As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will help build reliable, scalable AI-powered solutions alongside engineers, product partners, data scientists, and stakeholders.

The work involves technically hard problems with wide company impact. Priorities shift as the team learns, so you will need to own your work and deliver sound solutions in that environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and run scalable software behind Enterprise AI products and features.
• Turn unclear business and technical problems into engineering plans, balancing quality, speed, reliability, and long-term upkeep.
• Work with product managers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and partner teams to ship AI features that solve real business needs.
• Drive projects end to end: design, build, launch, monitor, and improve them.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design discussions, automated tests, observability, documentation, and operational practices.
• Help set the team's technical direction by spotting opportunities, testing new approaches, and sharing what you learn.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience building and running production systems.
• Strong skill in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, Go, or C++.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and debugging distributed or large-scale systems.
• A record of working with cross-functional partners to define requirements and deliver software from idea to production.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly, contribute well in code and design reviews, and take ownership of complex projects.
• Preferred: experience building AI or machine learning products, platforms, or developer tools.
• Preferred: experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent automation, model serving, or similar Enterprise AI technologies.
• Preferred: experience with cloud infrastructure, data platforms, APIs, distributed systems, and production observability.
• Preferred: experience improving reliability, performance, security, or cost efficiency of systems at scale.
• Preferred: experience leading technical projects, mentoring engineers, and influencing decisions across organizational boundaries.
• Preferred: experience thriving in a fast-changing environment where priorities and technical approaches keep evolving.

Conditions

This is a remote role. The base pay range depends on your permanent work location.

Hiring is currently limited to Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

For Canadian candidates, the base pay range is $168,000 to $177,500 CAD.

Offers vary based on factors such as candidate experience and the skills the role requires.

Compensation and benefits are set to be market-competitive in each location where employees work.
