Description

The company delivers free, in-home care to underserved communities across the U.S. Nearly 30% of U.S. patients skip preventive or chronic care because they cannot reach a doctor's office, and avoidable emergency room visits drive over $300B in costs each year.

The company uses technology from leading marketplace and last-mile platforms to bring care to patients' homes. So far it has served more than 2 million patients in 22 states, completed 130,000+ in-home visits, and reached a 92 NPS.

The company has raised over $125M from investors including a16z, General Catalyst, GV, and Accel, and reports multi-year runway.

The Growth Engineering team gets patients to use that care by reaching them, teaching them about it, and making booking simple. Most appointments are booked today through outbound phone calls. The goal is to move toward a product-led model by putting booking inside the core product and expanding how the team engages patients.

Your work directly affects whether a person receives care.

The stack includes TypeScript, Python, the AWS Amplify stack (AppSync, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation), BigQuery, OpenSearch / ElasticSearch, Looker, Kibana, Statsig, GraphQL, Node.js, React Native, and React Native for Web.

Responsibilities

  • Run experiments that increase patient bookings, from message copy and outreach timing tests to new booking flows inside the product
  • Improve engagement across SMS, phone, email, and mail to reach patients who rarely schedule care
  • Hold fast brainstorms and sizing sessions to choose the next growth bets
  • Set up and track funnel metrics that show drop-off, activation, and conversion
  • Report findings and review experiments with cross-functional partners
  • Try unconventional approaches, such as door-knocking pilots, and model outreach volume against clinical supply and demand

Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years as a software engineer, with 1-2 years on a growth or experimentation team
  • Have built and extended backend systems for experimentation, messaging, funnels, or activation flows
  • Have shipped and measured experiments that moved activation, conversion, retention, or bookings
  • Have used data to find drop-offs, size opportunities, and decide what to build next
  • Have worked with product, design, data, or operations to turn insights into shipped features
  • Have balanced speed and impact in a startup or high-growth setting
  • Gives you an edge: have shipped experiments that directly raised activation, conversion, or bookings
  • Gives you an edge: are comfortable owning the full cycle of sizing, building, launching, and measuring
  • Gives you an edge: have worked on products where growth comes through the product, not only outbound channels
  • Gives you an edge: work quickly with data, lightweight tooling, and small experiments
  • Gives you an edge: have operated in high-ambiguity, zero-to-one, or product-led growth environments with no existing playbook
