For decades, public technology has let down citizens, veterans, public servants and service members.
The company replaces the legacy systems federal agencies depend on with modern software at the application layer. Examples include a ticketing platform residents use to visit a presidential library, a DoW marketplace for buying counter-drone systems that protect lives and critical infrastructure, and a system veterans use to reach their benefits.
The company builds systems of record with national impact. Its AI-native modules and tooling let the team deliver in weeks work that would normally take years.
Revenue grew 35x this year. Next year the software will serve over 100 million Americans across dozens of federal agencies.
Founded in 2022, the company has offices in New York City and DC and has raised $35 million from NEA, a16z, Accel, 776 and Carpenter Capital.
Responsibilities
You will be one of a small group of engineers building the platform's highest-impact features, such as intelligent intake flows, AI-driven case routing, and resident-facing portals that replace government interfaces a decade old.
You will own features from first idea to launch, covering scoping, architecture, build and iteration.
At the senior level, you will set technical direction, mentor earlier-career engineers through code review, pairing and direct feedback, and make decisions the team keeps.
You will work closely with design leaders who hold a high bar for craft and will push back on anything unfinished.
You will speak directly with federal agency stakeholders and turn their real, often messy needs into product that works.
You will keep the platform reliable and fast at government scale, serving real users under real SLAs.
You will use AI tools daily as a force multiplier. The company's strongest engineers deliver 3 to 5x faster this way.
Requirements
5+ years of professional engineering experience, including owning complex features and systems end to end.
Strong, fast working knowledge of React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript and Postgres.
Daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot and Claude, with real shipping experience using them.
A personal project you built, such as a product or open source work, that you kept pushing on.
Comfort working without clear answers. You find out what is needed instead of waiting to be told.
You care whether the person using what you build has a good experience.
Strong candidates may also have worked on federal, state or local government technology, or understand the constraints of regulated, high-stakes systems.
Strong candidates may also have hands-on Palantir Foundry or AIP experience, such as modeling against the ontology or shipping pipelines or AIP agents.
Strong candidates may also have cloud deployment experience with AWS, Vercel, GitHub Actions or ECS/Fargate.
Strong candidates may also be familiar with design systems and component libraries, and know the difference between a functional component and a right one.
Strong candidates may also have led technical work at an early-stage company where working things out was the job.
