This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro areas.

Join one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies and help architect and evolve the iOS experiences that support Keeper’s security platform.

About Keeper

Keeper is a pioneer of zero-knowledge and zero-trust security built for any IT environment. Its core offering, KeeperPAM, is an AI-enabled, cloud-native platform that protects all users, devices and infrastructure from cyber attacks. Recognized for its innovation in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management (PAM), Keeper secures passwords and passkeys, infrastructure secrets, remote connections and endpoints with role-based enforcement policies, least privilege and just-in-time access.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, iOS, you will design, build and maintain secure, scalable and high-performance features across Keeper’s native iOS applications. You will work primarily in Swift, with exposure to Objective-C where needed, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA and backend engineering teams to deliver reliable and intuitive mobile experiences. This is a hands-on engineering role with ownership across architecture, implementation, performance, debugging and release quality. You will contribute to technical direction, review code, improve engineering practices and help ensure Keeper’s iOS applications remain secure, maintainable and performant as the platform continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain secure native iOS applications and features using Swift
  • Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across Keeper’s iOS codebase
  • Maintain and modernize existing Objective-C components where appropriate
  • Build scalable, reusable and maintainable mobile components that support long-term product growth
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, authentication flows and secure data storage
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage and battery efficiency
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues using logs, profiling tools and runtime diagnostics
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to other engineers
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and backend teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality features
  • Strengthen automated testing, build reliability and release quality across the iOS development lifecycle
  • Support App Store release processes, beta testing and validation of new iOS platform capabilities
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for architecture, features and development workflows
  • Evaluate emerging iOS technologies, frameworks and platform capabilities where they can improve Keeper’s applications
  • Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or similar platforms to improve coding, debugging, technical research, testing and documentation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional iOS software development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience developing production applications using Swift
  • Working knowledge of Objective-C and experience maintaining or integrating with existing Objective-C code
  • Experience designing and shipping large or complex iOS applications to the Apple App Store
  • Experience with AI as it relates to iOS development. Good prompting skills and troubleshooting with AI.
  • Strong understanding of iOS application architecture, lifecycle, concurrency and state management
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and distributed services
  • Strong understanding of mobile performance, memory management, debugging and profiling
  • Proficiency with Xcode and Apple development, debugging and diagnostic tools
  • Experience with automated build and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows, code review and issue tracking
  • Experience writing maintainable automated tests for mobile applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on code quality, security, architecture and maintainability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, Design and QA teams
  • Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted development tools effectively to improve coding, debugging, testing and documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Due to this role’s involvement in GovCloud environments, qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing cybersecurity, identity, password management or other security-sensitive mobile applications
  • Experience with encryption, key management, secure storage or cryptographic APIs
  • Familiarity with Keychain Services, Secure Enclave, biometrics or passkeys
  • Experience with Swift Concurrency, async/await or modern iOS concurrency patterns
  • Experience with SwiftUI in addition to UIKit
  • Experience implementing or evaluating beta iOS APIs and new Apple platform capabilities
