The AI Security team builds a scalable, secure AI platform that lets security teams across the company create and run AI agents and security tools with confidence.

You will help build the core platform, infrastructure, and security building blocks, focusing on identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and platform safety across AI, distributed systems, and security problems.

You will work hands-on with security and engineering groups to make AI easier to build while keeping security part of the platform from the start.

Responsibilities

• Create a scalable AI platform so security teams can build, deploy, and run AI agents and security capabilities.
• Build foundational services, APIs, libraries, and SDKs that help teams add AI to security workflows.
• Architect systems with strong controls for identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection.
• Build and run large, reliable distributed systems for AI-powered security use cases.
• Create guardrails and platform features so teams can operate AI agents safely.
• Work with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to turn their needs into reusable platform capabilities.
• Find automation opportunities that improve platform performance, developer experience, reliability, and security.
• Help set the technical direction and architecture of the AI Security platform as the team and platform grow.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years building large distributed systems, including designs around authentication, authorization, identity, or encryption.
• Experience with AI platforms, AI infrastructure, or production systems that power AI applications or agents.
• Proficiency in Go or Python, with strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native and distributed technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, or Kafka.
• Solid understanding of security fundamentals and of building security into production designs.
• Experience designing reusable platform capabilities, APIs, libraries, or developer tooling.
• Track record of delivering large engineering projects with lasting impact.
• Sound technical judgment, weighing trade-offs across security, reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
• Ability to solve complex engineering problems and work effectively across security and engineering teams.

Conditions

Based in the Menlo Park, CA or Bellevue, WA office.

In-person attendance is expected at least 3 days per week.

Base pay depends on factors such as education, training, experience, location, business needs, and market demand.

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $196,000 to $230,000 USD base pay.

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL): $172,000 to $202,000 USD base pay.

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL): $153,000 to $179,000 USD base pay.

Locations not listed can be discussed with the recruiter during the interview process.
