Description

The Corporate Technology group at the company is hiring a senior Salesforce engineer to design, build and support scalable Salesforce solutions for Sales, Finance, Marketing and Service.

You will work alongside product managers, business stakeholders, architects and engineers to turn requirements into secure, maintainable solutions, lead complex development and integration projects, help keep releases high quality and systems stable, and coach junior developers.

The ideal candidate has deep Salesforce platform skills, hands-on work with Agentforce and other AI-enabled features, and familiarity with enterprise data and integration tools such as Informatica.

Responsibilities

  • Spend about 40% of your time mentoring junior developers.
  • Partner with core business teams in Sales, Finance and Marketing to understand their needs and deliver Salesforce solutions on time.
  • Own every programmatic request and help shape specifications from stakeholder input.
  • Work with product management and internal customers to convert business needs into scalable solutions on the Force.com platform (about 10%).
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems (about 10%).
  • Design, build and support Agentforce capabilities, including agents, actions, prompts, guardrails and integrations that produce secure, scalable and measurable AI-driven results.
  • Assess each requirement to decide whether a point-and-click tool or custom Apex code is the better fit (about 10%).
  • Write reusable, maintainable code that stays within Salesforce governor and API limits (about 10%).
  • Maintain the legacy CRM application built on SQL Server (about 5%).
  • Write and run unit and integration tests that keep test coverage above 75%.
  • Review code written by junior developers (about 5%).
  • Support internal QA and guide user acceptance testing (about 5%).
  • Prepare and deploy Salesforce packages, manage version control, and spot likely deployment problems early.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant engineering experience in software engineering or a similar role.
  • Alternatively, a master's degree in one of those fields plus 3 years of relevant engineering experience in software engineering or a similar role.
  • 3 years of Salesforce development experience, including building projects from scratch and administering the platform.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Experience with Lightning components and Apex classes, plus SQL Server 2008/2012 and ASP/ASP.NET.
  • Experience with Salesforce design, configuration and custom development using Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, data migration tools, SOQL and SOSL.
  • Preferred: experience with Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein, generative AI patterns, prompt design, agent actions, data grounding, security controls and responsible AI governance.
  • Knowledge of Informatica and enterprise integration, including APIs, middleware, ETL and data pipelines, event-driven patterns, identity and access controls, error handling, monitoring, and integrations between Salesforce and systems such as Oracle, Snowflake and other external platforms.

Conditions

Total cash compensation ranges from $117,500.00 to $172,350.00, including annual base salary and target incentive.

Hybrid work: in most locations you will be in the office four days each week, with other flexible options available as needs change.

You will have tools and resources to work effectively with colleagues around the world, whether you are in the office or not.

Equal-opportunity statement omitted for brevity.
