You will work with engineering, clinical, and science teams to study cardiovascular imaging data, build predictive models, assess how devices fit anatomy, and produce evidence for product development, preclinical work, and future therapies.

The structural heart team designs transcatheter devices for valvular heart disease and aortic conditions, covering replacement and repair therapies for the aortic, pulmonary, mitral, and tricuspid valves.

Applications close on 6 Nov 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Review clinical and preclinical CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy data to advance structural heart research.
  • Build anatomical reconstructions, segmentation pipelines, and quantitative measurements in advanced 3D imaging software.
  • Write and maintain Python and MATLAB tools for processing, measuring, and analyzing data.
  • Support product development and preclinical work through image analysis, anatomy assessments, and technical investigations.
  • Create and test predictive models for patient screening, device evaluation, and anatomy-device interaction.
  • Produce technical reports, research records, presentations, and analyses for project teams and leadership.
  • Work with cross-functional groups, physicians, and outside researchers on technology development and science projects.
  • Bring your knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and structural heart disease into project planning and delivery.
  • This list is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or a technical field plus 4+ years of experience, or an advanced degree plus 2+ years of experience.
  • If your bachelor's degree was earned outside the United States, it must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
  • Preferred: experience with cardiovascular imaging analysis, image segmentation, or anatomical modeling.
  • Preferred: experience using Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis, measurement automation, or image processing.
  • Preferred: experience with CAD or CT post-processing software such as Materialise Mimics or 3mensio.
  • Preferred: experience writing technical reports, analyses, or scientific documents.
  • Preferred: knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, and structural heart disease.
  • Preferred: experience reading CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy images.
  • Preferred: experience with statistical shape modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA), or machine learning.
  • Preferred: experience with transcatheter or catheter-based therapies, or with heart valve device development or manufacturing.
  • Preferred: experience in a regulated medical device setting under GMP, QSR, and FDA, MDD, and CMDR requirements.
  • Preferred: in-depth knowledge of the mitral and tricuspid valves and surrounding structures.
  • Preferred: preclinical experience.
