Description

The role sits in the Portfolio Lifecycle Operations group and reports to the Senior Manager of PLO. It focuses on the Multi-Port business unit, which is growing quickly and is highly innovative.

You will manage projects across the full life of the company's multi-port products, from planning before commercial launch, through launch, to global end of life. The work covers several worldwide regions at the same time, so you need a global outlook and must pick up regional challenges and opportunities quickly.

The job calls for operational excellence, business process development and change management experience. You will work in a high-energy team and make sound calls when information is incomplete and deadlines are tight.

Responsibilities

  • Work with core functions in the US and internationally to get products commercially ready, in line with the company's Quality Management System and applicable regulations.
  • Align commercial timelines, requirements and priorities with Commercial and Executive Leadership.
  • Find, build and help roll out process improvements, enabling tools and systems that add real value to PLO, the Program Management Office and the Multi-Port business unit.
  • Escalate threats to commercial projects to functional management and senior leadership when needed.
  • Forecast the resources needed to hit objectives and manage them efficiently.
  • Run project management for all Approved Product List (APL) activities for the company's ISI business, and provide hypercare for first product imports and shipments.
  • Identify critical path milestones and build project plans and timelines with teams including Global Commercial leadership, the Project Management Office, Customer Success, Trade Compliance, Global Logistics, Regulatory Affairs, Product Quality and several shared service groups.
  • Lead core team forums to track milestones, flag risks and likely delays, build contingency plans, weigh options for commercial and regional readiness, and keep communication flowing.
  • Work with subject matter experts to assess regional requirements (such as regulatory, trade compliance, hardware compliance and import/export), then coordinate the creation of processes that keep the company compliant in each region.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • A PMP certification is a plus.
  • At least 4 years of medical device experience as a project manager, or in a regulatory, order management, logistics, operations, marketing or services role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business process development, operational excellence and change management.
  • You must be available to meet often with international teams outside normal business hours.
  • Strong communication, documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to run several fast-paced projects at once.
  • Experience leading projects in complex international markets is a strong plus. Example markets include Japan, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and the U.S.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is required.
  • Current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19, may be required by the company or its customers. Requirements can vary by role.

Conditions

Export controls: some roles may be subject to US Export Administration Regulations for candidates who are nationals of countries under embargo or sanctions. Where a role is covered, any offer depends on an approved export license and/or an executed Technology Control Plan before the start date. Licensing can take 3 to 6+ months, and a Technology Control Plan typically adds 2 weeks to hiring. Candidates will be told what is needed if this applies.

Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered in line with fair chance laws.

The job level may differ from the one listed, depending on business need and the selected candidate's experience, knowledge and skills. Pay is based mainly on the level the role is filled at and the candidate's qualifications, within the limits of applicable law.
