Description

ABOUT the company

The company is using first-principles thinking to reimagine the call center with cutting-edge voice AI. Thousands of companies now use Retell's AI voice agents to handle sales, support, and logistics calls that once required large teams of human agents.

Our vision for 2026 is to build a modern CX platform where entire contact centers are powered by AI. Instead of basic automation that needs constant human tuning, we're creating intelligent AI “workers” that act as frontline agents, QA analysts, and managers, continuously executing, monitoring, and improving every customer interaction.

We're growing fast and looking for ambitious builders who want to tackle hard technical problems, move quickly, and have a real impact on one of the fastest-growing voice AI companies in the world.

Let's build the future together.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have more customer stories than we can tell!

As a Senior Product Manager , you’ll take end-to-end ownership of core product areas that power millions of AI-driven conversations. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and customers to define the roadmap, drive execution, and ensure we’re shipping products that are fast, reliable, intuitive and worthy of becoming the industry standard.

This role is highly technical with a wide scope and a direct impact on our customers. You’ll work across real-time audio, telephony workflows, agent behavior, and developer tools all to build products that enable thousands of businesses to deliver faster, more reliable, and more human customer experiences every day.

Responsibilities

  • Own customer outcomes for core product areas such as voice agent behavior, onboarding, testing, and AI-driven automation. Define strategy, roadmap, and success metrics based on real customer pain, adoption, and business impact.
  • Develop deep customer understanding by spending time with users, reviewing call transcripts, joining onboarding and support sessions, and directly engaging with customers to uncover unmet needs and failure points.
  • Author clear, outcome-driven PRDs that define the customer problem, requirements, end-to-end user journey, and proposed solution concepts. Use these documents to align engineering, design, and stakeholders with scope, tradeoffs, and success criteria before execution.
  • Incorporate competitive and market insights into product strategy and prioritization, ensuring clear differentiation and informed tradeoffs.
  • Partner closely with engineering to design scalable solutions , while continuously evaluating tradeoffs through the lens of customer value, time to impact, and long-term platform health.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, CX, and Customer Success to understand buying signals, objections, rollout blockers, and expansion drivers, and reflect those insights in product priorities.
  • Partner closely with design to shape end-to-end user experiences, including early problem framing and low-fidelity sketches to explore and align on solutions before execution.
  • Drive cross-functional execution by planning, sequencing, and tracking product initiatives to ensure timely delivery, clear ownership, and alignment across engineering, design, and stakeholders.
  • Validate solutions with customers early and often , using prototypes, betas, and rapid iterations to ensure we are solving the right problems before scaling investments.
  • Establish product rituals that keep the organization customer-focused , including roadmap planning grounded in customer evidence, prioritization frameworks tied to impact, and clear communication of tradeoffs and decisions.
  • YOU MIGHT THRIVE IF
  • 5+ years of product management experience , ideally building B2B, product-led growth (PLG) products.
  • Comfortable in high-velocity startup environments and energized by ambiguity, fast iteration, and ownership.
  • Customer-obsessed - you regularly talk to users, review real usage (e.g. calls, sessions, workflows), and turn feedback into action.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator , working closely with engineering, design, sales, and other partners to drive outcomes.
  • Founder-level ownership and bias toward action , taking responsibility for outcomes end to end and driving work forward with urgency and accountability.
  • Highly organized and execution-oriented , able to create clarity, prioritize effectively, and keep things moving in messy, evolving spaces.
  • Experience working on AI products is a plus , with voice AI experience a strong advantage ; you’re curious, adaptable, and eager to go deep technically.
