Description

Are you ready to unlock intelligence?

If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.

About the Role:

Kong is looking for a Senior PLG Digital Growth Manager to build and scale the digital growth engine behind our product-led motion.

This role will own Marketing's targets for qualified product signup growth and the strategy, experimentation, and execution required to achieve them. You'll focus on improving the journey from digital discovery through signup, while using downstream activation and product behavior to continuously improve the quality of users we acquire.

This is a hands-on growth role. We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities, build a strategy, and roll up their sleeves to launch and optimize experiments—not simply recommend what other teams should do.

Responsibilities

  • Own PLG growth targets and strategy: Own qualified signup goals and build the growth roadmap required to achieve them across acquisition, conversion, and experimentation.
  • Grow qualified product signups: Identify and scale the audiences, use cases, channels, and experiences that bring high-quality users into Kong's products.
  • Optimize the digital → product journey: Identify friction across landing pages, CTAs, signup paths, messaging, and conversion flows and turn those insights into experiments.
  • Build and ship experiments: Personally prototype, launch, measure, and iterate growth initiatives across landing experiences, signup journeys, lifecycle, new acquisition loops, and emerging channels.
  • Leverage AI to scale growth: Use AI and automation to accelerate experimentation, uncover insights, personalize digital experiences, automate repeatable workflows, and scale growth programs more efficiently.
  • Connect acquisition to activation: Partner with Product Growth to understand which users activate and engage, and use those signals to improve targeting, messaging, and acquisition.
  • Turn data into growth: Partner with RevOps on funnel measurement, attribution, cohort analysis, and product signals connecting acquisition → signup → activation → PQL → revenue.
  • Orchestrate across Marketing: Work across Digital Experience, SEO/AEO, Paid Media, Lifecycle, Content, and Campaigns to turn PLG opportunities into execution.
  • Lead cross-functional PLG growth: Partner with leaders across Marketing, Product Growth and RevOps to align priorities, influence roadmaps, and turn PLG growth opportunities into execution
  • How We'll Measure Success:
  • You'll be directly accountable for qualified product signup growth and the efficiency of the digital PLG funnel, including:
  • Qualified product signups
  • Marketing-sourced activated users
  • Web → signup conversion
  • Experiment velocity and incremental growth
  • You'll also use activation, PQL, pipeline, and revenue performance as downstream measures of acquisition quality.
  • What You'll Bring:
  • 7+ years in PLG, digital growth, growth marketing, growth product, or a related B2B SaaS discipline
  • Experience building or scaling self-service or product-led growth motions
  • A track record of personally building, launching, and optimizing growth experiments
  • Strong understanding of digital acquisition, CRO, experimentation, lifecycle, and funnel optimization
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using product, behavioral, and cohort data to drive growth decisions
  • Comfort with modern analytics, experimentation, automation, AI, and no-code/low-code growth tools
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally across Marketing, Product, RevOps, Analytics, and Engineering
  • A builder mentality with a bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating
  • Experience with developer, infrastructure, API, cloud, or technical audiences strongly preferred
  • LI-KH1
