Description

The Marketing Analytics and Insights team sits within the Analytics, Insights and Artificial Intelligence group, which supplies data, analytics, insights and AI work to a large North American bank with over 95,000 colleagues and its corporate functions.

The team combines data science, advanced analytics, measurement, reporting and data work to give a joined-up view of how marketing performs across enterprise, channel and 1:1 activity.

You will lead the team that measures and improves marketing performance, working at the crossroads of marketing strategy, data science, measurement and data enablement.

Your work will connect marketing activity to customer and business results, and you will turn complex findings into clear advice for senior marketing leaders.

Enterprise marketing measurement sits with this role, covering marketing ROI, attribution, 1:1 campaign measurement and reporting, and the data foundations needed to scale them.

Candidates of interest will be contacted to arrange an interview, and the company will share outcomes by email or phone.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the analytical frameworks that show what marketing investment is worth and how well it works.
  • Develop one connected measurement approach that joins marketing ROI, attribution, campaign measurement and other methods, so marketing leaders get consistent evidence.
  • Improve attribution and ROI measurement so marketing activity and spend link clearly to customer and business results.
  • Work with marketing, business, data and analytics teams to agree shared methods, definitions and reports that guide investment decisions.
  • Lead measurement and reporting for 1:1 marketing, creating repeatable, scalable ways to judge campaign performance across channels.
  • Automate and standardize campaign reporting, moving from counting activity to understanding engagement, response, sales and business outcomes.
  • Represent marketing analytics needs in the Salesforce migration and related data modernization work.
  • Work with marketing, technology, data engineering and other stakeholders so analytical needs shape data models, pipelines and curated datasets that support downstream measurement.
  • Validate and reconcile new data sources so measurement stays accurate and trusted throughout the migration.
  • Set common KPIs, measurement definitions and analytical requirements for all marketing measurement solutions.
  • Protect data quality through controls, reconciliation and monitoring so marketing leaders can rely on reported numbers.
  • Turn complex analysis into clear recommendations that marketing executives and business partners can act on.
  • Combine data science, business context and clear storytelling to spot opportunities, explain what drives performance and shape strategy and investment choices.
  • Lead a team of data scientists and analytics professionals, setting priorities, developing people and keeping work focused on the most valuable marketing opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, high-performing team and grow both technical skill and business understanding across it.
  • Serve as a senior analytics partner to marketing leaders and work with AI2, technology, data teams and other enterprise partners on complex measurement and data problems.
  • Build trust with partners and keep business goals, measurement strategy and technical delivery aligned.

Requirements

  • A university degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, business analytics or another quantitative field.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant analytics or data science experience, including leading complex analytical work.
  • A record of leading analytics professionals, analytical projects or complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing measurement, with experience in several of these: marketing ROI, attribution, campaign measurement, experimentation or causal measurement, marketing mix modeling, customer analytics or digital measurement.
  • Strong hands-on skill with large, complex datasets and tools such as SQL, Python, PySpark and Databricks.
  • A solid grasp of data structures, analytical data models and data pipelines, and the ability to turn measurement needs into scalable analytical solutions.
  • Strong business sense and the ability to tie analytical work to business outcomes.
  • The ability to explain complex analytics and recommendations clearly to non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and a record of influencing business, analytics, data and technology teams.
  • Preferred: experience in marketing, financial services, telecom, retail or another large-scale customer or direct-marketing setting.
  • Preferred: hands-on knowledge of marketing attribution, marketing mix modeling, causal inference, incrementality or experimentation methods.
  • Preferred: experience with CRM, Salesforce or marketing data modernization or migration programs.
