Description

The company is a global leader in memory and storage semiconductors, and it develops products that turn raw information into usable intelligence.

This role sits in the AI for business functions team and works with business units and sales across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners and business groups in each unit and in sales to pin down what they actually need.
  • Turn business problems into scalable, data-driven solutions using data science, machine learning, AI and GenAI, and build them in Python in cloud environments.
  • Build predictive, forecasting and machine learning models, along with statistical analysis and data mining, to tackle business challenges.
  • Create and deploy optimization and simulation models, such as mathematical programming, stochastic simulation, scenario analysis and what-if modeling, to weigh trade-offs and improve operational and financial results where many constraints apply.
  • Examine large, complex datasets for trends, patterns and anomalies, and turn what you find into actions.
  • Build and publish dashboards and reports that explain insights to leaders at every level.
  • Study new data science methods, including generative AI and large language models, and apply them to business processes and decisions.
  • Help maintain and improve data infrastructure, keeping data quality and integrity high.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years working as a data scientist, applying advanced analytics, machine learning and statistical modeling to complex business problems and guiding decisions with data.
  • A solid grounding in machine learning, data mining and predictive analytics, covering both supervised and unsupervised methods, with a record of turning findings into results.
  • Advanced Python skills, with hands-on work in libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Substantial experience with large-scale datasets and cloud data platforms, including Snowflake, Google Cloud, AWS and Azure, plus data extraction and transformation using SQL and other query languages.
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, including data visualization and data quality management, and the ability to explain complex findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Preferred: a master's degree in statistics, data science, computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Preferred: proven experience working with generative AI and large language models in business settings to build AI solutions.
  • Preferred: strong experience with optimization and simulation, including linear and nonlinear programming, discrete-event or Monte Carlo simulation, and scenario modeling.
