Description

Agency:

Omd

Job Function:

Data and Analytics

Job Subfunction:

Data Science and Analytics

OMD’s Decisions Science team plays a vital role in ensuring that our clients realise the full potential of their marketing investment for maximum growth.

Senior Analysts are a key part of our team who are focused on addressing business questions and want to lead the media and business decision making process, driving growth for our clients. You are starting to manage projects and lead elements of delivery to enable clients to make the best decisions around their marketing spend.

You will be a hands-on modeller and will also support Analysts in creating and updating models. Using your in-depth knowledge of creating econometric models, you will create outputs that show clear results and are statistically robust. You will work with Consultants to develop clear, consultative insights in a way that positively influences clients’ marketing outputs.

Senior Analysts are key members of our team, helping our Consultants distil client questions into model form and using those to create implementational outputs that improve our client’s business.

CLIENTS & COMMERCIALS :

Forward-thinking and organised, you will be developing experience in managing client projects and are looking to take more responsibility for client engagement, ranging from project delivery through to consultancy.

You will play a key role in the delivery of existing scopes of work as well as supporting Analysts and Junior Analysts.

You will have an understanding of client needs, the commercials behind them and how this translates to our scope of work. As a Senior Analyst you will contribute to our scoping and delivery of insightful and profitable projects.

TALENT & CULTURE :

You will have project management responsibility for Analysts. Therefore, we expect you to be a role model for the junior members of the analytics team, and to set high-quality standards of work. You should show particular aptitude for helping members of the team develop their technical skills, and will become a ‘go-to expert’ for others who wish to develop modelling skills.

You will begin to take on day-to-day coaching and development of more junior members of the team with oversight of their tasks and outputs, including some line management responsibility.

FUTURE GROWTH & PRODUCT:

We want someone enthusiastic about creating something new, who is excited to contribute to the development of new solutions and analytical approaches – working closely with other specialist services, agency teams, and the wider analytics teams.

TECHNICAL CABABILITIES:

The successful Senior Analyst will have outstanding technical knowledge of how to build and update robust econometric models. Full understanding of the technical side of modelling is essential, as well as the ability to master new analytical approaches. You will complement this technical knowledge with ideas of how to apply the results of models in a commercial context, and how to communicate this to clients.

We don’t believe any one tool fits all but look for excellent use of a mix of R, SQL, Python, Excel, PowerPoint and other approaches

You can ensure modelling output is technically excellent and addresses client questions; you can ensure that all output is fit for purpose, consistent and accurate.
