Description

Who is Litmus

Litmus is building the data foundation that powers industrial AI.

AI doesn’t work without real-world, contextualized data - Litmus makes that data usable. As AI adoption accelerates, most industrial environments still can’t access or use their operational data. We solve that gap.

We’re a growth-stage software company helping manufacturers access, structure, and use real-time data from machines, systems, and sensors at the edge. Our platform sits at the intersection of edge computing, AI, and industrial operations, enabling some of the world’s largest companies to run operations in real time, reduce downtime, and optimize production.

Backed by leading investors and trusted by global manufacturers and partners like Google, Microsoft, Dell, Oracle, and Mitsubishi, Litmus is powering the shift toward software-defined manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI-enabled features and capabilities, from discovery and concept through development, launch, and iteration.
  • Define product vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap for AI-powered capabilities within the Litmus platform.
  • Lead structured product discovery with customers, partners, Engineering, and other stakeholders to identify high-value problems and use cases.
  • Conduct technical and market research and stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools, and industry trends.
  • Hands-on experiment with AI technologies and prototypes to evaluate opportunities, validate concepts, and inform product decisions.
  • Partner with cloud providers and system integrators (SIs) to drive joint discovery, validate use cases, and co-develop AI-enabled solutions.
  • Evaluate the technical feasibility, trade-offs, and scalability of AI-driven solutions in close collaboration with Engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Translate product requirements into clear PRDs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other product documentation.
  • Partner closely with UX teams to rapidly visualize, test, and iterate on product concepts using tools such as Figma.
  • Work closely with Engineering on APIs, system interactions, integrations, architecture, and technical trade-offs.
  • Communicate product requirements and priorities clearly across Engineering, QA, Documentation, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate release readiness and ensure teams have the information and enablement content needed to successfully launch new capabilities.
  • Work with Documentation teams to support product walkthroughs, demos, and other customer-facing enablement content.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation across Product and Engineering.
  • Explore and apply emerging AI capabilities, including LLMs, AI agents, MCP, and workflow automation, to create meaningful product experiences.
  • What You'll Bring

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software product management, with a strong track record of taking technical products or features from concept through delivery.
  • Strong technical background and a solid understanding of software development, APIs, integrations, and system interactions.
  • Proven experience building or managing AI-powered products, features, or workflows.
  • Strong hands-on understanding of modern AI and LLM capabilities and how they can be applied to real-world product use cases.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience using MCP (Model Context Protocol) and an understanding of AI Skills frameworks and workflow automation concepts.
  • Experience creating detailed PRDs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria and managing agile product development processes.
  • Ability to work closely with Engineering teams on APIs, system design, technical feasibility, and trade-offs.
  • Proficiency with Figma and a strong understanding of UX principles, particularly when designing AI-driven product experiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment and take ownership from discovery through delivery.
  • Experience building products for manufacturing, industrial IoT, edge computing, or industrial software.
  • Experience working with machine learning models and ML lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, model deployment, inference, and optimization.
  • Experience defining AI product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or intelligent automation use cases.
  • Experience working with developer platforms, APIs, cloud platforms, or enterprise software ecosystems.
  • Experience partnering with cloud providers, system integrators, or technology partners on product development.

Benefits

  • Build the infrastructure that makes industrial AI possible
  • AI is moving beyond the cloud and into the physical world. At Litmus, you’ll build the infrastructure that enables real-time data to power AI and machine learning systems in production environments.
  • Work on problems where software meets the real world
  • Most AI systems fail without access to real-world data. You’ll build the layer that makes them viable in production. We solve challenges at the intersection of distributed systems, real-time data, and industrial constraints — where reliability, scale, and performance are non-negotiable.
  • Have real impact, fast
  • You’ll work on systems used by real customers in production, with direct impact on product and company trajectory. As a scaling company, we move quickly. You’ll have ownership, visibility, and the ability to shape both product and company as we scale.
  • Join a high-performance team
  • We’re building a team that holds a high bar and pushes each other to improve. You’ll work alongside experienced operators, engineers, and leaders who have done this before and are building again at scale. We hire people who take ownership, move quickly, and care about outcomes. No passengers.
  • Our culture
  • At Litmus, the team is collaborative, curious, and low ego. People are scrappy, take ownership, and look for ways to make an impact. We value empathy just as much as execution, whether that’s in how we build, how we communicate, or how we support each other.
  • We’re a growing company, so things move quickly and not everything is perfectly defined. If you enjoy figuring things out, working closely with others, and making steady progress, you’ll do well here.
  • About The Role
  • As a Senior AI Product Manager at Litmus Automation, you will lead the development of intelligent capabilities across our edge-to-cloud industrial data platform. You’ll combine strong software product management experience with hands-on knowledge of AI, LLMs, APIs, and emerging AI technologies to build products that automate workflows, improve user experiences, and solve real-world problems for industrial customers.
  • You’ll work closely with Engineering, UX, QA, Documentation, cloud providers, and system integrators to take AI-powered capabilities from discovery and concept through development and release.
  • This is a highly technical product role for someone who is excited about applying AI to enterprise software and building practical, scalable products.
