Description

The AI and Automation Supply Chain Business Transformations team sits within the company Operations and builds agentic AI at scale.

As Senior AI Engineer in Operations, you will turn the team's plans for codifying decision logic and decision intelligence into working AI agents that are trusted, scalable and innovative.

You will help define the AI agents for supply chain operations at one of the most advanced AI companies in the world.

This role suits someone who works where AI innovation meets supply chain transformation.

Applications are accepted at least until November 6, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

The company uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own enterprise-grade agentic AI systems for supply chain use cases, covering multi-agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, deployment, monitoring and full lifecycle management.
  • Gather design requirements, turn them into user stories and produce the technical design.
  • Run end-to-end integration testing, prepare data sets and resolve issues found during UAT.
  • Manage development team activities and create a Hypercare support model.
  • Write production code yourself and deliver enterprise-grade agentic AI supply chain solutions.
  • Work with enterprise IT engineering, product and research teams using LLMs, agent frameworks, and the company's NeMo and AIQ technologies.
  • Connect the solutions to enterprise IT and operations data sources and to leading agentic platforms, with a strong focus on content security.
  • Make architecture decisions across on-prem, cloud, hybrid and containerized deployments so solutions stay scalable, reliable and efficient.
  • Lead technical design reviews, write design documentation and follow sound code development practices.
  • Define agent autonomy limits, human-in-the-loop workflows and escalation paths for supply chain use cases.
  • Build observability and evaluation frameworks that measure latency, accuracy, cost, failure modes and hallucinations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus 8+ years in software architecture, systems design or enterprise platform engineering.
  • Strong hands-on Python for production AI systems, plus SQL, JSON and backend service work. Java is a plus.
  • Proven experience with AI/ML systems, generative AI or agentic AI frameworks.
  • Experience with LLMs, RAG architectures and orchestration frameworks such as ReAct, LangChain-based systems and AutoGPT-style workflows.
  • Hands-on work with vector databases, embeddings and retrieval tuning, including indexing, similarity search and relevance evaluation in production.
  • Experience designing multi-agent communication and coordination, such as planner/executor/critic and supervisor agents.
  • Experience connecting enterprise platforms like ERP, CRM and ITSM through APIs, data connectors or custom services.
  • Strong solution design and analytical skills, including technical and business process modeling.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain complex architecture clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Nice to have: hands-on containerized deployments, Kubernetes and hybrid cloud or on-prem environments.
  • Nice to have: Python prototyping to build proof-of-concept agent workflows.
  • Nice to have: experience with the company AI technologies such as NeMo, Guardrails, AIQ or GPU-optimized inference stacks.
  • Nice to have: a record of publishing technical papers, architecture patterns or thought leadership in AI systems.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of observability tools, telemetry dashboards and evaluation frameworks for agent performance, and experience solving real problems with AI in supply chain.
