Description

The role sets the direction for quality engineering across IT products in digital marketing and commerce, moving QA from manual, reactive testing to an automated, AI-enabled practice.

It brings together AI engineering, agentic automation, intelligent testing, DevOps, software engineering and product management to define the next generation of quality engineering.

You will work at the centre of a large transformation with engineering, architecture, product and DevOps teams, building reusable AI capabilities and enterprise engineering standards that raise quality and speed to market.

The company operates in approximately 70 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and roadmap for AI-enabled quality engineering across IT products and platforms.
  • Turn traditional QA into an automated, proactive discipline built into every stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Find the best opportunities to apply AI agents, generative AI, machine learning and intelligent automation to test design, execution, analysis and defect prevention.
  • Work with the horizontal DevOps and QA communities of practice to adopt best practices and help shape company-wide practices and tools.
  • Design AI-assisted and agentic tools for QA across the lifecycle, covering test scope orchestration, test execution, test data generation, regression impact assessment and release readiness evaluation.
  • Define and lead scalable test automation for functional, integration, API, performance, security, accessibility and end-to-end testing.
  • Modernise test frameworks and build automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cut manual testing through risk-based automation, smarter test selection, reusable frameworks and self-service tooling for engineers.
  • Move quality checks earlier through shift-left work, automated design validation, contract testing, static analysis and continuous verification.
  • Lead a team of quality engineers and automation specialists to deliver the QA transformation and support product roadmaps in line with business priorities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience defining and delivering quality engineering strategies for complex enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Software engineering background with hands-on programming in at least one language such as Python, Java, C, JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Nice to have: experience building test automation frameworks with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, pytest, JUnit, NUnit or similar.
  • Solid grasp of AI engineering, including generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, tool-using agents, evaluation methods and AI application lifecycle management.
  • Experience using AI or intelligent automation in software engineering, testing, DevOps, operations or related enterprise processes.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated deployment, environment management, observability and production monitoring.
  • Experience across functional, API, integration, end-to-end, performance, security, accessibility and user-acceptance testing.
  • Understanding of modern architecture, including APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, cloud-native platforms and distributed systems.
  • A product management mindset, able to turn business outcomes into technical capabilities, quality requirements and measurable engineering priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills.
