Description

You would join the Customer Training department as a renewables training engineer covering the UK.

The team runs product training and industry qualifications across the UK and Ireland through training academies, mobile training vans and partner sites.

The training covers the company's heating range: domestic and commercial gas and oil, heat pumps, air conditioning and HIUs.

Most learners are installers, though service engineers, sales staff and apprentices also take part.

The role delivers structured courses at customer sites, the company's academies and partner venues, so learners can install, service and maintain products safely.

Trainers work under the training leadership and technical support functions to keep sessions in line with company standards and goals.

The company makes boilers, hybrids, heat pumps, solar thermal and smart controls. It employs more than 1,600 people and supports local communities, including by giving away free heating systems for community spaces.

  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • Bring strong interpersonal skills and deep technical knowledge.
  • Previous training experience is essential.
  • Have a solid grasp of heat pumps, air conditioning and the company's gas and oil products.
  • Come from a trade background.
  • Show exceptional communication and presentation skills, adapted to different audiences.
  • Know low temperature systems and installation and commissioning procedures.
  • Have current health, safety and environmental experience.
  • Be confident delivering training of the highest quality, as expected of a market leader.
  • Be comfortable teaching learners across a wide range of skills and roles.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and Teams is an advantage.
  • Experience or understanding of renewable technologies is preferable but not essential.
