Description

The company builds robots and the AI that runs them, aiming to bring robots into factories, warehouses, homes and businesses. Nearly 9 in 10 American factories and warehouses have no robot at all.

One robot is a semi-humanoid with near-human dexterity. Another moves boxes, pallets and bulk goods for customers ranging from family-owned manufacturers to some of the largest brands in the world.

Robots are built at scale and learn as a network, pooling what the whole fleet has learned to train better AI.

Founded at MIT and based in Watertown, MA, the company is a full-stack team of researchers, engineers, technicians, operators and sellers. It designs and manufactures its hardware, trains its own models, works directly with customers of every size, and maintains its fleet across the United States.

The recruiting team is growing and needs recruiters who care about building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own hiring for the software engineering and AI/ML research teams, the people building the intelligence behind robots in real factories and warehouses.
  • Work directly with engineering and research leaders, reporting to the Director of Recruiting.
  • Partner with stakeholders to plan hiring for each role: what strong looks like, where to find those people, and how to assess them.
  • Run every search from sourcing to close, with heavy outbound to people who are not actively looking.
  • Build a clear, streamlined process that moves quickly without lowering quality or candidate experience.
  • Make every touchpoint, from first outreach to offer, reflect the team the candidate would join.
  • Keep hiring managers updated with clear pipeline reports and honest market insight.
  • Keep pipeline data current in the applicant tracking system so decisions are based on it.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting, with meaningful experience hiring for hardware, manufacturing or technical support roles.
  • A track record of building teams, not only filling open roles.
  • The ability to hold a real conversation with engineers and technicians about their work.
  • Experience winning candidates in competitive markets.
  • Strong stakeholder management: you advise hiring managers and push back when needed.
  • Nice to haves: early-stage startup experience.
  • Nice to haves: robotics, automation or manufacturing recruiting experience.
  • Nice to haves: experience building hardware and field team pipelines.
  • Nice to haves: connections in the Boston/Cambridge tech community.

Conditions

Onsite at the Watertown office, working in person with the teams and robots you are hiring for.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Health insurance fully covered by the employer, with no premium to pay.
  • A managed 401(k) to help you save for the future.
  • Unlimited PTO and all federal holidays off for full-time salaried employees; hourly employees get 16+ days of accrued paid time off plus 1.5x pay on federal holidays.
  • In-office meals and team social events throughout the year.
