Description

About the company

The company is reinventing how law firms operate. Our AI platform helps attorneys capture billable time automatically, apply billing rules correctly, and get insights that change how legal work is managed. More than 225 law firms use the company today, and demand is growing faster than we can build for it.

Responsibilities

  • Product Engineers at the company build the AI systems attorneys trust with their billable hours. You'll take work that currently lives in someone's head, or in a spreadsheet, and turn it into software that just handles it.
  • The job spans engineering, product, and the firms themselves. You'll be the technical owner for a set of key firms, spending real time with the people who use the company every day. You'll form your own view of what would make their work meaningfully better, and then build it. What you learn from them becomes the platform every other firm uses.
  • You'll write production code and own the outcome, not the ticket.
  • We're looking for technically strong engineers who are as comfortable building AI products as they are in a room full of law firm partners: people who can take a half-explained process and come back with a working system.
  • Own a product surface end to end, from the first sketch to the version attorneys are using the following week.
  • Work directly with attorneys, firm leadership, and billing teams to understand how each firm practices, what constrains them, and what their technical environments require.
  • Build new AI products: entirely new workflows for a profession that has used the same ones for forty years.
  • Work where the problem isn't defined yet. Figure out what's actually being asked for, align with colleagues across functions on a plan, and ship against it.
  • Lead by example through mentoring future hires, pairing, and code reviews. You'll help shape our engineering culture.
  • To Apply
  • After you apply, the best way to stand out is to email me at the company's site. Attach your resume with a brief introduction to yourself, something underrated that you learned in your current role, and one thing you've built that you're proud of.
  • The compensation for this position is determined by multiple factors, including prior experience and expertise. A competitive equity component will also be offered as part of the package.
  • Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, meals in office, regular team events, a personal wellness fund, a personal learning fund, and more!
