Principal Systems Engineer

Description

The company builds counter-drone technology that protects airspace from evolving drone threats.

The team includes veterans of elite military technology units and works in a collaborative setting.

This role links RF cyber-research, software implementation, and system testing and analysis of counter-UAS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Turn drone protocol findings from research teams into system-level, software, hardware, and algorithm requirements.
• Design end-to-end system architectures and write technical specifications (HLDs).
• Serve as the main technical contact during feature development, coordinating engineers across disciplines.
• Guide cross-functional teams through feature bring-up and integration.
• Run lab bring-up, integration, and debugging of features.
• Lead lab and field tests, root-cause debugging, and complex fault analysis.
• Analyze customer issues and recommend solutions or system updates.
• Track changes in drone protocols so the solutions stay current.
• Build internal AI tools and scripts that speed up system analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of system engineering experience.

Conditions
