Description

The company makes Agentforce Operations, an AI platform for its customers, and is now part of the company after a recent acquisition.

The team runs as a fast-moving group inside the company with startup roots. The founders and engineers who built the original product still manage it.

The product already works and has customers, and it is now moving from its early stage to scaling for global demand and enterprise-grade resilience. Its work is tied closely to the Agentforce ecosystem.

This role is embedded in the product organization as a senior individual contributor within the reliability team, working with engineers and product owners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the reliability roadmap for major product areas, moving systems from startup-speed architecture to highly available, global-scale enterprise solutions.
  • Give expert technical guidance that shapes the direction of the team's architecture.
  • Mentor LMTS and SMTS engineers through direct guidance and by setting a high standard of technical work, and start close collaboration across the team.
  • Maintain and improve automated environments, making the infrastructure-as-plugins model more robust and easier for developers to use.
  • Support AI/ML infrastructure by making sure models have the GPU capacity and data pipelines needed for real-time supply chain insights.
  • Lead the hardening of the observability stack for the 1 to 100 phase, building tooling that prevents incidents and telemetry that explains them.
  • Tune performance across SQL, API latency, and cross-service communication so the data-intensive supply chain platform stays fast under heavy load.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude Code and Codex to automate routine operational work and speed up infrastructure delivery.
  • Take part in design reviews so new agentic capabilities are built to scale from the start.

Requirements

  • At least 9 years in SRE, production engineering, or backend engineering with a strong focus on operations and scale.
  • Have helped a product through a high-growth phase, handling the technical debt and architecture changes that come with it.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders of varying technical depth, since you will turn the product vision into reality and report back on it.
  • Write production-grade code in Golang, TypeScript, or Python, and treat automation as a software engineering problem.
  • Work confidently with Kubernetes, Terraform or OpenTofu, and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Have instrumented applications and platforms with SLO-based monitoring and alerting.
  • Understand distributed systems well enough to debug complex interactions between microservices, databases, and AI agents.
  • Have worked on a senior team of Principal engineers, both leading specific initiatives and supporting the group's wider technical vision.
  • Use modern AI development tools to move faster and build more reliable systems.
  • Identify problems independently and see the solution through to final implementation.
  • An M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is a plus.
  • Strong PostgreSQL experience at scale, including partitioning, indexing, and query tuning, is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of microservice orchestration and durability patterns, with hands-on Temporal for workflow reliability and Istio for secure, observable service-to-service communication, is a plus.
  • Broad experience across tracing, profiling, monitoring, logging, and dashboards, with Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty experience desired.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch or Typesense for search indexing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the company infrastructure, Hyperforce, or Data Cloud is a plus.

Conditions

Apply for no more than 3 roles within 12 months.

Benefits

  • Benefits and resources that support balance and personal growth, along with AI agents that help you have more impact.
