Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC is hiring a Manager, Software Engineering to lead delivery of common libraries used across multiple projects and platforms, and to own the technical roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of common libraries that serve multiple projects across multiple platforms.
• Own the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• Hold a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification, plus two (2) years of experience.
• Have experience working with development teams to improve services and infrastructure, including root cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Have experience building and extending deployment automation, and scaling infrastructure to handle rising network traffic or storage pressure.
• Have experience working with teams to implement requirements for a Kafka pub-sub system.
• Have experience setting up and maintaining application monitoring with Splunk and Yamas, including Splunk dashboards that read from a local metric exporter to show cluster state quickly.
• Have experience leading projects that build tools around user needs and usage, aimed at cutting engineers' troubleshooting time and improving infrastructure visibility.
• Have hands-on experience with Chef, Screwdriver v2/v3, Jenkins, Pogo, Artifactory, and Git.
• Have experience with high-volume, highly available messaging clusters, including Kafka and Zookeeper.
• Have working knowledge of Hashicorp Consul, Kubernetes, Jenkins, package management, Splunk, monitoring systems, and certificate and identity management systems.

Conditions

Telecommuting or working from home may be allowed under company policy.

The base pay range is $274,971.00 to $302,000.00 per year. Pay is set using market benchmarking data and geographic location, and may vary with the hybrid working policy. Individual pay depends on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Background checks are run at the offer stage for all new hires and may include criminal background checks for some roles. This requires processing personal information.
