Description

The company's systems development division builds advanced technology, taking work from initial concept and architecture through development to deployment, often using new technologies to create first-of-a-kind systems.

Current work includes advanced testing programs built on multi-function, multi-modal RF capabilities.

You will join a team of engineers, academic researchers, and industry partners who build practical RF solutions together, in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support many multi-function RF programs that cover varied system capabilities, test requirements, and demonstration sites.
  • Own program schedule and budget, and turn complex requirements into a clear execution plan.
  • Partner with the program principal investigator on planning, carrying out, and delivering program capability.
  • Spot risks, build mitigation plans, track progress against goals, and start corrective action when needed.
  • Run several programs at once, tracking cost, schedule, and technical metrics against plan.
  • Coordinate across functional groups to get the best results.
  • Keep stakeholders informed to manage expectations and push continuous improvement.
  • Understand customer and operational needs, confirm that outcomes meet them, and spot future opportunities.
  • Find links between related programs to gain efficiencies and help shape company strategy.
  • Lead capture and proposal writing and delivery, following the gated capture process.
  • Write subcontractor statements of work and manage those subcontractors to make sure their work is done properly.
  • Build a collaborative team by giving clear direction and useful feedback.
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are desired.

Requirements

  • You must hold an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain and keep a Top Secret clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility. U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government for this.
  • You need a bachelor's degree. An engineering discipline is desired.
  • You need at least 7 years of prior relevant program management experience.
  • You have experience managing projects for the Department of Defense.
  • You are skilled in using program management tools.
  • You have strong presentation and organization skills, and you can work with the principal investigator on execution plans, set clear and concise priorities, and link programs to deliver more value to the customer.
