Description

Maximus is looking for a Lead Growth Product Manager.

About Maximus

Maximus ( https://www.maximustribe.com/ ) is a mission-driven consumer performance medicine telehealth company that provides men and women with content, community, and clinical support to optimize their health, wellness, and hormones. Maximus has achieved profitability and 8-figure ARR with a strong cash position. We have raised $15M from top Silicon Valley VCs such as Founders Fund and 8VC as well as leading angel investors and operators from companies like Bulletproof, Tinder, Coinbase, Daily Stoic, and Shopify.

About the Role

This is a growth role with real surface area and real resources behind it.

You get a dedicated engineering pod, an embedded designer, a marketing team spending a meaningful budget you'll partner with daily, and direct access to leadership. You will own the conversion product — the get-started flow, eligibility and questionnaire experience, plan selection, payment methods, and checkout — across Testosterone, Weight Loss, and every protocol we launch. You'll play a critical role in executing strategies around organic growth, referral programs, abandonment reclamation, and average order value.

This role spans several growth domains at once, with the autonomy to sequence them yourself, budget for the AI and experimentation tooling you need, and a real voice in how we build it. We expect this role to operate AI-first — using it to compress the cycle from idea to live test and to ship more experiments than a team our size otherwise could.

We're looking for someone who has run this before at a DTC subscription business at a meaningful scale. Someone with a powerful voice and a game plan that is centered around data and buyer psychology. You'll set the testing agenda, uphold the fundamentals across every flow we own, and iterate well past market par.

You will report to the Head of Product and lead a dedicated engineering pod aligned to our Acquisition task force. This is a senior IC role with full ownership of the conversion and organic growth roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • The conversion product
  • The get-started flow, eligibility and questionnaire experience, plan selection, payment methods, and checkout across every protocol
  • The acquisition product roadmap — the sequenced bets that ladder up to our growth objectives — built in close partnership with Marketing
  • Distinct strategies by service line. What wins in Testosterone is not what wins in GLP-1: different personas, different objections, different economics
  • Pricing strategy executed downstream in the funnel, with latitude to propose and run your own promotions
  • AOV and the economics behind it
  • Average order value through the mechanics at the point of purchase: plan mix and ordering, longer-duration adoption, add-on attach, bundle presentation
  • The commercial case for your work — you should be able to bring Finance a test proposal, a budget ask, and clear success criteria, and defend all three
  • Experimentation and the platform
  • The testing roadmap and cadence, brief through readout, held to a real evidence standard
  • The case for the funnel, experimentation and analytics stack we invest in. This role shapes the platform, it doesn't inherit it
  • Organic growth and reclamation
  • Organic net-new customer growth, the referral program, and cart and flow abandonment reclamation — as products, not campaigns
  • Continuity with Marketing so the journey holds together end to end: the claim in the ad matches the landing page, which matches what a prospect sees in the flow, carrying their context forward rather than starting from scratch
  • What You'll Bring
  • The things that will separate a strong candidate here:
  • You've moved AOV or plan mix, not just conversion rate. Plenty of growth PMs optimize CVR. Far fewer have changed what a customer commits to at the moment of purchase
  • You've scaled paid spend and watched blended conversion dilute as traffic got colder — and you know how to read cohort-level signal instead of chasing a blended number down
  • You've made an offer or pricing recommendation that leadership adopted, and you can walk through the economics you used to make the case
  • You build your own measurement. You write your own queries, you're fluent in Amplitude, and you've stood up instrumentation rather than inherited a dashboard
  • You're subscription-aware. You know a cheap customer who churns in month two isn't a win, and you've designed acquisition with retention in view
  • You've killed an idea you believed in because the data didn't support it, and you can tell that story without flinching
  • Plus the baseline:
  • 6+ years in product management, with at least 3 owning a consumer conversion funnel with direct revenue accountability at meaningful paid spend
  • Fluency with modern funnel and AI tooling, and a real opinion on how to compress the cycle from idea to live test
  • Excellent written communication; our culture runs on clear documents and explicit tradeoffs
  • Nice to have: telehealth, regulated consumer, or another high-consideration category where eligibility or compliance shapes the funnel

Requirements

  • You have strong opinions about funnels and you hold them loosely when the data disagrees. You're comfortable owning a number leadership watches weekly. You'd rather run six well-designed tests this quarter than one perfect one. You know the difference between a growth hack and a growth system, and you're building the second.
  • Relentlessly resourceful. Highly proactive, doesn't quit, finds solutions with little guidance. Strong bias for action and comfort in ambiguity with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Passion for men's health and development. Genuine interest in helping men develop a healthy masculinity, and personal investment in health optimization — diet, exercise, sleep, focus, relationships.
  • World-Class Benefits
  • Full Suite: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance
  • Flexible vacation/time-off policies
  • Liquidity of options whenever available
  • Extended options exercise window for loyal employees (3 months for every year of service; e.g. 1 year for 4+ year employees)
  • Maximus is an equal opportunity employer, which not only includes standard protected categories, but the additional freedom from discrimination against your free speech and beliefs, as long as they are aligned with company values. We celebrate intellectual diversity.
  • Note: We utilize AI note-taking technology during our interview sessions to ensure we capture all answers and details accurately. Candidates are also encouraged to use AI note-takers for their own records if they wish.
