Description

The company makes footwear, apparel and accessories for athletes and people who simply like to move. The group owns several brands, operates in more than 120 countries and employs around 22,000 people.

This is a junior design role in teamsport apparel. You will work alongside a Senior Designer, Team head or Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the annual product design plan for the product category and bring in new design ideas that you then carry out, so the category meets its business targets and objectives.
  • Assist the Senior Designer in developing product designs that keep innovating and hit agreed goals.
  • Fold product and technical developments into your designs.
  • Improve the design content of products so they strengthen the brand position and drive consumer demand.
  • Question the global brand positioning guidelines so new product and program ideas get a fair look, and adjust the guidelines where that makes sense.
  • Gather market intelligence on design trends and developments as directed by the Senior Designer, Team head or Creative Director, share accurate and current findings with everyone involved, and put them to good use.
  • Launch new product design ideas that match specific product strategies.
  • Pin down functionality requirements and make sure information technology systems are used accurately to gain an edge over competitors.
  • Find places where design can support business processes and deepen understanding of customers and consumers.
  • Deliver projects on the schedule you are given.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in design, fashion design or a related field.
  • Your first job in the fashion apparel industry.
  • Working knowledge of lifestyle sports, sports performance and culture, fabrics and new industry technologies.
  • A strong eye for color and a creative streak.
  • Comfortable with Apple Mac, Illustrator and 3D software.
  • Experience with tech packs and product development.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Confident presenting your work.
  • Include your portfolio and CV with your application.
