Description

The company is 100% dedicated to developing medicines to treat and prevent HIV.

The Insights and Analytics Manager for Europe and International provides performance analysis, business insight, market intelligence and targeted market research so the E&I Leadership Team can make stronger commercial decisions. You will report to the Data and Analytics Director.

You will combine internal performance data, external market insight and customer engagement analytics to explain results, spot risks, trends and growth areas, close evidence gaps and give practical recommendations. The work feeds business reviews, strategic planning, scenario analysis and the integrated regional performance assessment.

The company was born from a 2009 partnership between the company and Pfizer, and Shionogi joined in 2012.

Responsibilities

  • Apply agreed analytical measures and KPI definitions so performance is viewed consistently across the region.

  • Get more value from research by building on existing analytics, research and external intelligence, cutting duplication and aiming investment where it matters most.
  • Apply agreed core KPI and insight standards across E&I, working with Global Data & Analytics, research teams and other functions on the regional roadmap.
  • Document key methods, assumptions, research outputs and recommendations so the evidence can be relied on for decisions.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Market Research, Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Bring substantial experience combining performance, market and customer evidence to shape commercial decisions, ideally in pharma or healthcare.
  • Be able to merge quantitative and qualitative evidence and turn complex analysis into clear commercial implications.
  • Communicate well in writing and speaking, with enough credibility to advise senior leaders and influence stakeholders in regional, market and Global teams.
  • Have hands-on skill in KPI design, performance analysis, commercial research methods, customer engagement analytics, market research and competitive intelligence, plus managing external research or analytics suppliers.
  • Show sound judgement, curiosity, objectivity and care for quality, and work well in a fast-paced matrix environment.
  • The competencies sought are Customer Insights, Data to Insights, Digital Fluency, Influencing Without Authority, Market Knowledge and Scientific Literacy.
  • Desirable: a postgraduate qualification.
  • Desirable: experience applying established KPI frameworks.
  • Preferred: a strong grasp of healthcare data and commercial decision-making.
