Description

This is a fully remote Data Engineer role in the Data Science and Data Engineering job family. The focus is Power BI reporting for enterprise identity governance and administration (IGA).

You will design, build and tune Power BI reports that turn identity and entitlement data into clear dashboards for leadership, compliance, access governance and Zero Trust metrics. Report development is the main task, but you also need a working grasp of the upstream ETL steps.

You will work with data engineers, IGA operations staff, cybersecurity analysts and mission stakeholders so identity data is shown accurately and fits what they need.

Your output will support enterprise decisions, audit readiness, access risk analysis, access certification metrics and the wider security posture.

The company is a global technology and professional services firm serving US government, defense and intelligence customers. It has about 26,000 employees across more than 50 countries and works in AI, cloud, cyber and software development.

The team is looking for someone strong in Power BI who can turn raw data into a clear visual story.

Responsibilities

  • Build and tune Power BI dashboards, reports and datasets covering identity lifecycle, entitlements, access certifications, joiner, mover and leaver activity, and compliance workflows.
  • Develop semantic models, data relationships, DAX measures and reusable report components.
  • Work with ETL engineers on the Azure Synapse pipelines that produce parquet datasets from SailPoint SQL sources.
  • Check that incoming parquet data is complete, accurate and structured the way reports require.
  • Gather reporting needs from stakeholders, then prototype, refine KPIs and confirm dashboards meet mission goals.
  • Set up data quality checks and refresh monitoring so reports stay accurate and current.
  • Align reporting with the governance, audit and Zero Trust requirements of the IGA, cybersecurity and operations teams.
  • Document semantic models, business logic, data lineage and visualization standards.
  • Suggest improvements to datasets, transformations and visualization techniques.

Requirements

  • You must hold an active Secret clearance. Interim Secret clearances are not accepted.
  • You need a bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 8 years of experience, or an equivalent mix of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience.
  • You must hold DoD 8140 certification at Security+ CE or higher.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • You need hands-on experience designing Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
  • You need strong skill with DAX, Power Query, data profiling and visualization practice.
  • You should understand relational SQL and be able to read upstream data structures.
  • You should know Azure Synapse, data lakes and parquet datasets at a high level.
  • You must work well with ETL developers to make sure datasets are ready for reporting.
  • You need strong communication skills to explain complex data relationships to technical and non-technical people.
  • You have documented reports, models and data flows before.
  • Desired: familiarity with DoD identity ecosystems, authoritative identity governance and enterprise ICAM modernization.
  • Desired: understanding of identity governance metrics, role and entitlement models, access reviews and certification reporting.
  • Desired: exposure to Python, Spark, SQL or data transformation scripts.
  • Desired: familiarity with CI/CD practices for Power BI deployment pipelines.
  • Desired: knowledge of Zero Trust analytics, audit reporting or enterprise compliance frameworks.
