The company is seeking an experienced Director to build and lead the solution marketing function for the company Forma and its role in transforming the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry. This leader will shape how customers, partners, analysts, and employees understand the company's end-to-end solution for AEC, articulating our unique platform strategy through a compelling narrative that resonates across the entire Design and Make lifecycle.
Working closely with, and reporting to, the Vice President of AEC Marketing, you will partner across Product, Strategy, Sales and Go-to-Market (GTM), Customer Success, Industry Marketing, and Corporate Marketing to develop positioning that differentiates the company through new business capabilities and outcomes, not individual products. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for end-to-end solution positioning, messaging, launches, thought leadership, competitive strategy, and customer storytelling.
Responsibilities
Define the long-term market narrative for the company Forma as a strategic solution connecting design, planning, construction, and operations
Develop differentiated messaging that ladders to the Design and Make intelligence category
Partner with Product Management and Strategy to influence roadmap discussions and translate innovation into customer value
Create executive-ready messaging, keynote content, customer stories, analyst presentations, and sales enablement that elevate the company's leadership in AEC
Lead competitive programs that emphasizes the company's unique strengths while anticipating shifts in market dynamics and customer expectations
Establish clear frameworks for communicating complex platform capabilities, across experience, data management and AI workflows
Build and mentor a world-class solution marketing organization with a strong culture of customer obsession, strategic thinking, and operational excellence
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of experience in enterprise software product marketing or solution marketing, including leadership of high-performing global teams
Experience developing category-level narratives that shift market perception and establish strategic differentiation
Demonstrated success bringing platform technologies, cloud solutions, AI capabilities, and digital transformation initiatives to market
Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting to customers, analysts, partners, and senior leadership
Proven ability to influence cross-functional organizations without direct authority
Experience partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success organizations
Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technologies into compelling business outcomes
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms, AI workflows, and connected data ecosystems
Deep experience helping organizations transition from product-centric to solution-led marketing and selling
Experience in shaping solution-level categories and influencing analyst perspectives

Conditions
Salary is one part of the company’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $159,000 and $284,350. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
