Global Team Lead AI & Application Security

Description

You will head the global group that decides how the company secures its applications and adopts AI responsibly. Your job is to set direction, build a strong international team, and create the governance and assessment processes that let the business innovate while protecting its worldwide operations.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop and lead a global team of about 6 AI and application security professionals, roughly 4 of whom report directly to you.
• Set the global AI and application security strategy, operating model, roadmap and performance measures, then deliver them.
• Define security standards, guardrails and exception governance for applications and AI-enabled solutions.
• Oversee risk-based security assessments and approvals so that quality, traceability and decision timing stay consistent.
• Advise senior technical and business leaders on complex risks, remediation options and residual-risk decisions.
• Manage assurance, audit support, service reporting, capability building and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• A degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, IT, business technology or a comparable field.
• 5+ years in enterprise IT or cybersecurity, including work in cybersecurity, application security or AI security.
• CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, CISM or another recognised equivalent certification. This is an advantage.
• Previous experience leading people, teams or a comparable global security function.
• A track record of defining security strategy, governance, standards, roadmaps, services and measurable outcomes.
• Expert knowledge of AI security, application security, secure development, architecture risk and recognised security frameworks.
• The ability to coach people, manage performance and capacity, lead change and build lasting team capability.
• Strong communication, consulting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills in an international setting.
• Advanced English, both spoken and written.
