Founding Fullstack Engineer

Description

The company is an early-stage AI business and this is its first in-person engineering hire, based in New York.

You will own the core systems behind AI agents that connect business platforms and logistics partners, so wholesale operations run dependably.

Responsibilities

• Carry customer-facing features from initial discovery through design, build, and production.
• Create secure, auditable data models and event-driven pipelines that power agent workflows.
• Build internal and external APIs, plus a real-time console that gives operators visibility into operations.
• Build integrations with ERP systems, logistics providers, retailers, and freight partners.
• Build resilient sync systems, and set up observability, SLOs, and on-call practices.
• Move between backend, data engineering, and frontend work wherever your effort has the most impact.

Requirements

• Two to six years of software engineering experience, including hands-on product work at a startup or small team.
• A solid full-stack background and a record of building reliable production systems outside of consultancies.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, React, Tailwind, Postgres, queues or streams, and AWS or GCP.
• A product mindset and systems thinking, with care for both developer and operator experience.
• Either startup or small-team experience, or fewer than five years spent only at large technology companies.
• Strong early-career signals, such as rigorous technical training, time at a high-growth startup, or a short stint at a large technology company.

Conditions

Base salary ranges from $160,000 to $250,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is available.

The role is on-site in New York City five days a week. Candidates must be willing to work on-site or relocate.
