Forward Deployed Strategist

About the Role

Lead strategic enterprise deployments for an AI automation company, working across customer relationships, commercial strategy, and delivery. You will guide complex projects from initial pilot through production scale, helping organizations adopt new ways to run business processes.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise customer relationships and commercial engagements, from scoping and negotiation through pilot conversion and account growth.
• Understand customer processes, align stakeholders across operations and executive teams, and define success measures before deployment.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams, including engineers, to execute pilots and scale successful solutions into production.
• Manage change, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment in complex enterprise environments.
• Identify opportunities to expand deployments across customer teams and operations.

Requirements

• Typically 3 to 7 years of experience in strategy consulting, enterprise deployment, enterprise sales, go-to-market, business operations, or related customer-facing roles.
• Demonstrated ownership of enterprise relationships and commercial outcomes, such as account expansion, renewals, or pilot conversion.
• Experience leading end-to-end deployments, defining business cases and success metrics, and delivering measurable customer outcomes.
• Comfort navigating complex organizations, aligning stakeholders from operational teams to senior executives, and driving change.
• Technical fluency sufficient to understand AI-enabled systems and discuss implementation with engineering teams; an engineering background is not required.
• A consistent career history and experience beyond purely internal functional roles.

Conditions

Base salary: $160,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site in San Francisco, California or New York City, New York. Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to one of these locations.
