Description

The company is a sports data and technology business at the crossover of sports, media and betting. Over 1,700 federations, media outlets, betting operators and consumer platforms in 120 countries use its technology.

You are placed inside a department or business unit and work as an in-house consultant. You meet the people there, pinpoint the real issues, reduce complexity, improve how work gets done, and then build and launch LLM and agent-based tools.

You will mostly work on your own with light supervision, moving projects forward through shifting priorities and layered organisation. Senior engineers are available to advise you.

Recruitment steps: a short intro call with a Talent Acquisition Partner, a brief take-home technical task, two technical interviews (one with the technical team, one with the hiring manager) that cover your work and team fit, then feedback and an offer if successful.

Responsibilities

  • Speak with colleagues in your department to learn their workflows, friction points and data sources.
  • Find problems worth solving and split unclear situations into clear, workable steps.
  • Simplify and streamline processes, and recommend where an AI solution fits and where it does not.
  • Handle several stakeholders and competing demands while keeping work on track.
  • Build, test and release LLM-based applications and agents, from prototype through to production.
  • Add retrieval (RAG), tool integrations, prompts and context handling to these systems.
  • Create and run evaluations such as test sets, automated checks and quality dashboards, and use the results to improve solutions.
  • Build and maintain the data pipelines that feed these systems.
  • Plan your own work, report progress regularly, and document what you build.

Requirements

  • Around 2+ years of software engineering or applied ML experience, or equivalent project work.
  • Ability to explain technical topics simply to non-technical colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision.
  • A pragmatic approach to organisational complexity and competing priorities.
  • A structured way of finding problems and cutting through complexity.
  • Solid Python and software engineering basics, including testing, version control and APIs.
  • Hands-on work with LLM APIs, plus a project that used RAG or agents and included some evaluation.
  • Familiarity with SQL or data pipelines, and with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Consulting, internship or stakeholder-facing project experience.

Conditions

Office-first, fully on-site model: you work in the office 5 days a week. Exemptions may apply depending on your location; your local contact can confirm details.

  • Global employee assistance programme.
  • Wellbeing app covering stress, focus, sleep and resilience.
  • Online training videos.
