Early Career Consult Program – Cybersecurity Infrastructure Associate

This role sits in a cybersecurity infrastructure team that supports Fortune 100 clients.

Responsibilities

• Keep the networks, servers, operating systems and security platforms behind cybersecurity operations secure, available and resilient.
• Help run and improve secure network and infrastructure environments.
• Set up, configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security tools and SIEM platforms.
• Support routing, switching, VPN connections, load balancing and network availability checks.
• Find and fix network, infrastructure and security configuration faults so operations stay stable and perform well.
• Help design and roll out security architectures, network segmentation and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Track network performance, spot risks and suggest improvements to security and infrastructure work.
• Put controls in place that match internal requirements and industry standards to support compliance.
• Gather diagnostics, run root-cause analysis and escalate complex technical problems when needed.
• Write up configurations, troubleshooting steps, security controls and sound operating practices.
• Work with cybersecurity, architecture, engineering and operations colleagues to deliver secure, resilient infrastructure.

• Working knowledge of network infrastructure, covering routing, switching, VPNs and network performance management.
• Hands-on familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint platforms and SIEM.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux and the security features built into them.
• Knowledge of IP addressing, protocols, traffic flow and secure connections.
• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot network, infrastructure and security issues.
• Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or similar.
• Grasp of network security risks, vulnerabilities and best practices.
• Ability to help deploy, configure and maintain infrastructure and security solutions.
• Sharp analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document configurations, procedures, incidents and technical recommendations.
• Clear communication and teamwork with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience designing or supporting security architectures, network segmentation or Zero Trust.
• Preferred: experience with enterprise network, server, cloud or infrastructure security controls.
• Preferred: familiarity with workload, server and network architectures in complex enterprise settings.
• Preferred: experience supporting highly available, large-scale or managed infrastructure.
• Preferred: knowledge of automation, infrastructure monitoring or network management tools.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
• Preferred: relevant industry certifications in networking, infrastructure or cybersecurity.

Conditions

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction, now and in the future.

The company will not sponsor employment visas for this role.

You must work from the Frisco office five days per week.

Pay is $77,000 on a full-time schedule and is not below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage.
