Description

This individual contributor director role in technical program management sits in the Missionforce national security unit.

You will report to the SVP of Missionforce National Security and run high-stakes programs at the centre of the company's national security business.

The portfolio covers M&A integration, large federal implementations such as replacing an agency's enterprise IT service management platform, and new commercial models including outcome-based contracting and pricing.

The ideal person can build a program V2MOM and run a steering committee, and can also work through GovCloud onboarding details or contract structure.

Candidates may apply for up to 3 roles within 12 months so that effort is not duplicated.

Responsibilities

  • Turn executive intent into programs with defined scope, workstreams, owners, milestones and success measures, all anchored in a program V2MOM.
  • Set up and run each program's operating rhythm: steering committees, advisory teams, weekly working teams and executive updates.
  • Track action items, decisions, risks and dependencies across functions, and clear blockers quickly.
  • Act as the SVP's trusted representative in executive forums and raise issues with leadership early.
  • Lead integrations from announcement through close and into steady state, coordinating Corporate Development, Legal, HR, Communications, Security, Technology & Product and the business.
  • Keep the integration V2MOM, planning calendar, workstream plans and weekly updates current.
  • Make sure employee experience milestones work for the incoming team, keeping what it values while speeding up its impact.
  • Run multi-workstream federal implementations from discovery through capability mapping, gap analysis, workshops and delivery.
  • Coordinate account teams, solution engineering, product, services, partners and the customer.
  • Work with Government Cloud and security teams to bring capabilities into GovCloud and keep personnel compliant with security requirements.
  • Work with Public Sector sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Accounting, Finance and Product to make outcome-based deals repeatable.
  • Evaluate pipeline deals, capture lessons from closed deals, and help define contract structures, outcome measures and risk guardrails.
  • Help build the business case and investment requirements for future fiscal years.

Requirements

  • Comfortable juggling several high-visibility programs at once.
  • Build working relationships across teams you do not manage directly.
  • Move between strategy (vision, V2MOM, executive narrative) and detail (action items, dependencies, status).
  • Strong executive presence and clear written updates that leaders actually read.
  • Think customer first and respect the mission of the people served.
  • Use sound judgment and discretion with confidential and pre-announcement information.
  • 10+ years of program management, technical program management, consulting or engineering management experience, with some time at an enterprise technology company.
  • A record of leading large cross-functional programs with executive visibility.
  • Experience delivering complex enterprise SaaS implementations or platform programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Strong executive communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to build consensus in a matrixed setting.
  • Learn new technical, commercial and contractual subjects quickly.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Nice to have: M&A integration experience, ideally bringing a technology company into a larger enterprise.
  • Nice to have: U.S. federal, national security or defense experience, as a provider or as a government or military professional.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels (IL5/IL6/IL7) and GovCloud environments.
  • Nice to have: an active U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Nice to have: experience with ITSM/ESM platforms, platform migrations, or outcome- or value-based commercial models.

Conditions

You must be a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization, living on U.S. soil, without dual citizenship, and able to meet customer and government screening standards for this role.

Qualification depends on a satisfactory background investigation and on holding and maintaining the U.S. government investigation and clearance level the role requires.

You must also agree to complete a federal Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position.

Benefits

  • The company offers benefits and resources intended to support work-life balance.
