Critical Mass

Job Function:

Strategy and Planning

Job Subfunction:

Account Planning and Brand Planning

As a Director, Precision Marketing Strategy, you’ll lead the orchestration architecture that connects brand strategy, media activation, creative systems, MarTech enablement, and measurement into a unified performance engine.

You are not just planning campaigns—you are designing the operating model that governs how signals translate into creative decisions and how media dollars convert into measurable growth.

You will serve as the performance architect across key accounts, responsible for designing and governing the systems that connect signal, audience, creative, media, and measurement into a cohesive growth engine. This role moves precision from reactive optimization to proactive orchestration that defines how campaigns must be structured before activation begins.

The right candidate must have a solid understanding of the digital media landscape, know how to translate consumer insights into actionable targeting and creative strategies, and be comfortable managing multiple campaigns at once.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as senior strategic liaison across Comms, Ecosystem, Creative, and Marketing Science leadership
  • Work with client and internal teams to build performance focused content strategies that deliver on business results and have clearly laid our measurement and learning plans to prove out success
  • Elevate creative conversations by anchoring them in performance architecture
  • Implement and refine the Precision Operating Model across key accounts
  • Architect full-funnel orchestration frameworks aligning Comms, Media, CRM, and Web
  • Establish decision trees for scale vs. optimization based on signal performance alongside martech partners
  • Lead development of Precision Playbooks (testing rigor, suppression logic, modular creative governance)
  • Drive integration of first-party data into Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) and activation platforms
  • Oversee signal health dashboards and ensure performance outcomes
  • Mentor Managers and Analysts, building technical and strategic depth within the team
  • What You've Got:
  • 8–12+ years in performance strategy, integrated media leadership, media analytics or MarTech
  • Deep understanding in identity resolution, DCO systems, algorithmic buying, and signal governance
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across media, creative, and analytics
  • Ability to design and enforce testing frameworks at scale
  • Strong executive presence and comfort operating at VP/CMO level
  • Commercial instinct and ability to position Precision as a growth driver
  • Bonus points for:
  • Experience building or scaling a high functioning team
  • Experience integrating generative intelligence into creative systems
  • Experience leading enterprise clients
