Customer Project Manager

Description

This is a services role at level Master, set up as hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week in a company office.

The company helps businesses connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, from edge to cloud.

You will lead customer engagements so they meet agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality targets through planning, control and day-to-day management.

You will coordinate the company's own teams, customer teams and third-party vendors to plan, sell and deliver solutions to customer problems, and you will carry both business and team management duties.

You will set up and maintain the portfolio and project management framework, based on company policies, standards, the customer engagement roadmap and the global method.

You may sit on an Engagement Program Management Office or lead a business unit's portfolio of customer projects.

You will lead large cross-division teams on work that shapes long-term goals, and you will guide less senior staff. You set functional direction without managing people as your main job.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer projects.
• Handle very large or complex deals that carry high or very high risk and high or very high complex legal and commercial issues.
• Manage project finances, including the P&L.
• Give management reliable financial forecasts.
• Find and build new business opportunities.
• Look after client relationships, including complex multi-function or global delivery relationships with senior and executive client contacts.
• Explain to business partners and customers the direct value our capabilities bring.
• Lead the project team and manage internal and external resources within a larger project team.
• Mentor project team members and support their skill growth.
• Write detailed performance review input and development recommendations for key contributors.
• Act as a mentor and role model who supports others' professional growth.

Requirements

• A first-level university degree.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• 10 years of experience in project management or similar roles and businesses.
• In-depth knowledge of the key operational policies, processes and methods used in project management.
• Recognised as a leader in the project management professional community.
• PMP certification.
• Fluent Dutch and English are required. French would be considered an asset.
• Experience managing cloud configuration projects is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Clear ownership, accountability and follow-through.
• Experience working for a supplier or vendor organisation is preferred.
• You must be willing and eligible to pass local security clearance.
